I saw someone at the airport with an iPhone...It looks so cool in person. Completely out of my price range though. With rebate included my phone was about $70, which isn't shabby at all. They have no rebates on those things, or anything really. You're just shelling out tons of cold hard cash for the most beautiful phone on the US market. I wouldn't even use the mp3 player, especially if I had to rely on the battery to make calls.

But oh that interface. Hurry up Apple, get out your widescreen iPods!

Why is it that most "widescreens" aren't quite 16:9 yet? It's more like 16:10 now. People were talking about that with the Zune I think.

Oh wow, the iPod classic comes in 80 gig and 160 gig models, with 30 and 40 hours of audio playback respectively. It's probably going to get phased out soon.

I don't think the iPod Classic is going away anytime soon. A lot of people are still wanting just an MP3 player with maybe some video capabilities.. You probably won't see the iPod Classic going away until both the nano and the touch get massive storage capabilities.

If my iPod died right now I would be buying the iPod Classic, because my current iPod holds more than the other models.

Or, you could get yourself a PSP and a pair of headphones, so you'll have a multimedia device that plays games as well. Or perhaps a Palm-type advice, which can manage audio, video, and plot out your schedule for you.

Not that I have anything against iPods. Just saying there are cheaper options.

iPods are great. I own 4. The new nanos are pretty slick looking and support video now and have a great battery life.

but speaking of PSPs, i don't own one (but I have 2 games waiting to be opened), i think i'm going to go to best buy today and see if i can pick up the silver value pack. SUPPOSEDLY they were released yesterday.

That's the reason PSPs don't make GREAT, great media devices outside games or maybe a quick movie. Memory sticks just suck for mp3s, haha. It'd be expensive to get fair-sized amount of storage. I never thought the day would come when I'd need more than 15 gigs of storage, but you sorta get comfortable with the idea that you don't have to remove older songs/albums/soundtracks to make room for the new. I guess the PSP as a media player would be aimed at the same audience who like the Nano, which has pretty decent storage now. I wonder where Flash storage is going to be a year from now. I hope it moves quickly, because I want to get an iPod Touch really badly.

I'm still getting a PSP come October though...I already bought Riviera for it. But I hope that there's a piano black value pack when I do get money to buy it.

I would just throw away the magazine .. actually my sister once got the card (in 2001) because she was buying a lot of used games and then called up game informer and canceled her subscription. So she had the card and no subscription.

Yeah... i plan on buying that... honestly i only bought a PSP for SRPGs... I have Riviera and D&D Tactics.. I plan on buying Jeanne D'Arc, Disgaea, FFT, etc...

And supposedly there is an Advance War game on it? It's like an advance war game but more serious less anime... i need to figure out what its called again...

I also have D&D:T. I forget off the top of my head whether or not it supports online play or only the WLAN. If it supports broadband play, we should start a (very) casual campaign. I actually bought the game to help teach me the 3.5 ruleset. Even though it's not a fully comparable version to the real thing, it should get me through the basics enough to do campaigns in real life without having to ask questions all the time.

And another suggestion, albeit not an SRPG -- Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology. If you're a fan of the Tales series, it's a good one to pick up. Interesting blend of characters. Wish it had Regal from Symphonia though... that would have been majorly badass.

so heres the deal.. Disgaea is fun... but its not CONSOLE fun... i mean like... i think there are other games on the TV i'd rather play. Disgaea is too loose... It's really nice for a game you want to play a bit then turn off. Well that's PERFECT in portable form..

I don't know for sure if i'm going to buy it again... i may just buy the strategy guide.

I've got a crew of people up at the uni that own EVERY BOOK for 3.5 -- do you honestly believe, after spending hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on books and finally completing the collection that they'll be moving on to 4.0? No, no they won't. A lot of people won't, at least not right away.

As for your question, not really sure. I've created some characters but I've yet to start a campaign. I got distracted by Jeanne d'Arc when that came out, and now Persona 3.

Yeah, I'm getting Disgaea again. I was just surprised that you would after spending only so much time with it. I see what you mean though. Hopefully the mechanics will be smoothed over in this one. They could just as well leaving it untouched though, but there are things like the Dark Assembly that could use work (according to Kazzy it's incredibly bothersome). It seemed to become more manageable in Disgaea 2 since they used political parties. Blah blah blah.

Oh, they will. Not immediately due to the drought of content, but give it a few months after release. Supposedly they're already cutting back on quality 3.5 content. They'll start releasing new awesome content just for 4.0 that will probably be key to various campaign settings, and chances are a lot of it just won't work with 3.5. Plus if 4.0 is a genuine improvement then I'm sure people will be happy to buy/"acquire" the products. I can only hope.

I'm clueless about what you guys are talking about here, but Disgaea is nummy. Although the battle system drives me nuts because its so tedious. (Love Earthbound's weaker-than system...)
