Ler Lalonde (primus)
Alex Lifeson (Rush)
Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia)
Denis "Piggy" D'amour (Voivod)
Buckethead (anything but guns and roses)
Mike Lerner and Colin Marston-Warr guitar 12 string (Behold...the Arctopus)
and to a lesser extent Adam Jones (TOOL)
Adam Lacks a lot of technical prowess that some of the other have, but has absolutely beautiful texturing at times, and had his own original style that tons of radio rock (aka Butt Rock) music has stolen since then.

Crao Porr Cock8! Need I say more!?My awards:
Geez, in every thread were you may pick one, of anything you like best, I always have plenty and in this thread, were you can have plenty favourites, I only have one..
Jimi Hendrix
I guess it's just the way my parents did raise me, with Jimi Hendrix
My TFF Family it!
Savior of the Damned is my little brother!
Sir Alex Ferguson is my awesome brother!
Creativity AND talent:
Mauro Pawlowski (from dEUS)
Crao Porr Cock8: Getting it while the getting's good
Probably Ryan Peake from Nickelback would have to be up there.. He's quite good, in my opinion.
Honestly I have difficulties talking about my favourite guitarist. I can admire the talent and all but guitar really isn't my thing. Alot of music around would be better and alot more unique without a guitar.
If I had to choose another, Santana. I recently actually bought his 'best of' album and I quite like it. He has alot of talent.
I've been on this site since 2006 woah
I'm not an expert, so I don't know many of them!
But the best guiter player, in my opinion, is Brian May... He's not the greatest from the technical point of view but he plays in such a way...He has created some very well-known and terryfic solos! He's a good singer, too!
I'd have to say, Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance of Avenged Sevenfold and Kaoru and Die of Dir En Grey, Bou (formerly) of An Cafe, and Miyavi. They all tis being awesome.
ummm...
Jade puget of AFI he does some crazy shit on his guitar and the guy from system of a down hes pretty good. for some old ppl johnny winters, jimmy hendrix, eric johnson, and stevie ray vaughn the're all great
Heh, here's a pretty decent sized list of guitarists I find amazing: (In no particular order)
Tom Morello: Rage Against the Machine
Buckethead (Solo)
John Petrucci - Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Joe Satriani
Jimi Hendrix
Dimebag Darryl
Randy Rhodes
Eric Johnson
Rusty Cooley (Solo)
Well, there you go, I'm surprised no one had mentioned Tom Morello or Petrucci, but it happens.
(TFF Family):
I don't know much about music or pay much attention to little things like guitar and such, but my brother does. I like two guys that he's obsessed with, and they're not bad.
Joe Pass, a jazzy guitar player, and Marty Friedman, a crazy rock player. The first one's dead, but the second one has two TV shows in Japan where all he does is play guitar.
My favorites are Elliott Smith and Conor Oberst. Anton Steklov is very nice, as well. I enjoyed his interpretation of Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra.
This guy is very, very good (GREAT) as well:
YouTube - Romance - classical guitar tremolo solo
Wish I could play like that.
