    Do you write Lyrics?

If so, I'd really like to read some, I really don't wanna post mine until I read one of yours. I would feel... I dunno, weird. Ahaha.

Is this a good area to post this in? It's lyrics for a song, which is music! Baha.

Don't worry, I think that this place will work for your topic. As for the answer to your question "YES" I do write lyrics and play guitar. I have recorded a lot of stuff and am on music sites like Purevolume, Myspace Music, and a self-made website of mine.

Here is one of my lyrics that I wrote a couple of months back and have recorded. It is personally my most favorite song that I have written. The name of the song is Goodbye (Sing Bird Sing)

    Goodbye (Sing Bird Sing)
    When does it end?
    When do we go beyond?
Maybe you will find peace in death.
    Maybe we will meet again.
    Who Knows?
    So, sing bird sing.
    Sing your lowest note.
    As I say goodbye.
Somewhere between the prayer and when the white doves fly.
I saw your soul reach for the sky.
    So, sing bird sing.
    Sing your lowest note.
    As I say goodbye.
    Well I don’t know what I believe.
And I don’t know where you are.
But I know I heard the bird sing high.
When your soul reached to the sky.
    Set it free
    Set it free
    And fly with the doves
    Fly,fly,fly
    Fly,fly,fly
    Goodbye
    Goodbye

    Re: Do you write Lyrics?

Wow, i really really like that, I don't know if I can compete with that, but I wrote a song influences by Asthenia, a song by Blink 182. It has the same basic idea, leaving the world and being lost in space lonely in a tiny vessel.

It's called Forget, and it goes like this.

    5,4,3,2,1... Blast off.

This vessal is quiet as it reaches the stars.
I wanna come back and hold you in my arms.
But now as I fly in this endless universe I sit,
I wonder, when will I come back?
    I won't.

Take off and go, Forget it all.
I'll never come back, forget, forget.
You're the reason I wanted to stay,
Now you're the reason I'm gone.
    Will you forget me?
Just think of me as you sing this song.

Goodbye, I'm leaving, Won't say it to your face.
This room, is quiet as I drift through space.
Destination, Unknown, Just me and the sky.
Watch me go, Look away, Forget me.

Take off and go, Forget it all.
I'll never come back, forget, forget.
You're the reason I wanted to stay,
Now you're the reason I'm gone.
    Will you forget me?
Just think of me as you sing this song.

These things going through my head now,
as before were only you, now I wonder,
What you're doing, and with who?
I won't forget you, though I want to.
I look down to the earth, It's a big bright ball
    of loneliness.
If I were there, I'd feel the same as I do now.
    So, just forget me.

Take off and go, Forget it all.
I'll never come back, forget, forget.
You're the reason I wanted to stay,
Now you're the reason I'm gone.
    Will you forget me?
Just think of me as you sing this song.

Forget, Forget, all those times we shared.
Forget, Forget, those times we kissed.
    Forget, Forget, me.

    Forget, it all.

Should I go back, Should I go back should I. I am a huge Tom Delogne fan so naturally I love Blink. That is pretty good work on the song. It is pretty long, I mean, I wouldn't want to try and remember that for singing. However, when you write a song it normally sticks in the process.

Yeah you're right, I've wrote shorter songs, but I think I could remember it. I'd really like to read more of your work, I really really like it. I'll post another song after you. =]

Yeah, that sounds fine. This next song is kind of about the battles within. About when people become indecisive regarding tough situations. I don't know if you will sense those meanings, but they are in their. However, I write not for you to necessarily draw my meaning but whatever you sense the meaning to be as well. This song is called Settle Down.

    Settle Down
    So am I.
    So is the future.
    So are you hearing now.
    I am here.
So let us go into far unknowns.

And how many times can you say you’ve felt afraid.
And how many times can you say you’ve cried.
    Well so can I.
    And so can you.
And so can everybody else just settle down.

Here and now is where ill stay.
    Don’t go away.
And here and now is where ill be for me.
Just settle down, and know that everybody else is doing fine.

    So am I.
    So is the future.
    So are we, looking fine.
But I am here just to let you know.
    That when all is gone.
    Ill still show around.

    How many times, times, times
    How many times, times, times

    Re: Do you write Lyrics?

Very nice. I wrote this song, actually before angels and airwaves love album came out ahahhaa, so it has nothing to do with that. But it's called love. I wrote it like a hardcore song, for harsh vocals. That's the scene around here. But yeah, the chorus is mainly like a chant, where you speak it, not sing it, or scream it. The rest is all meant for screaming. Kinda like an Asking Alexandria song, it's simple, quick. I wanna hear it put together, I'm trying to get my friends band to use it, Annie Get Your Gun. It's a pretty badass local hardcore band, anyway here's the song, Love. ( it's no where near as good as any of your work)

    I feel numb.
    I feel dumb.
    I'm completely lost without you.
    I feel worthless.
    I feel hopeless.
    I can't live without you.
I wanted it all, I got a portion.
    I'd give you anything.

Love is when you care for someone the same if not more than yourself. Love is when you would do anything for a single human being.
Love is when you would die for them.
    Love hurts.

    I want you.
    I need you.
    You always walk away.
    I hate you.
    I love you.
    You avoid the situation.
Clever minded person, you can have anything.
    I'd give it to you.

Love is when you care for someone the same if not more than yourself. Love is when you would do anything for a single human being.
Love is when you would die for them.
    Love hurts.

It's hard to say what I really want to say, at least to your face.
    I write it down.
    You'll never see.
You and I could never be.
So walk away, avoid the situation.
While I give you all that I am.
    Walk away.
    Avoid me.
    Walk away.
    Avoid me.
    Love hurts.

    Re: Do you write Lyrics?

    Here's one i wrote today (it's kinda short ) :

    I hide in the darkness
    To hide my own weaknesses
    They caught up with me
    Burned me
    Scarred me
    My heart is black
    My heart is aching

    I lied to myself
    I said I was fine
But my heart was aching inside
My words were swords to my heart
My heart bled till I couldn't handle it anymore
    I screamed,I cried
I felt like I was dying inside

    I need help,I need help
    I won't give in,I won't give in
    Tears won't help,Tears won't help
    My heart's torn up,My heart's torn up

    Nothing can stitch it up
    Nothing can heal it
Nothing can shield it from the harsh reality

    Am I crazy?
    Am I blind?
    Drunk off my own fantasy
    Blind to the truth
The truth was too much, the truth was too much

    Hidden in the darkness
    Tired of this pain
Wanting the key to the light
    Searching so hard...
    Will I ever find it?

    Re: Do you write Lyrics?

Got a DeviantArt account full of them.

    Truly

[Chorus]Do you see the answers in the gloom?
Or do you feel this sense of doom?
    The night just offers compromise,
    but I can't...
    because it's the wrong guise...[/Chorus]

And all I know is that I'm feeling dead,
    truly, truly...
    dead.
And I grasp for answers with an empty head,
    truly...

Lifeless in night's dull, weak glow,
I start to think of what might have been...
Chose the life I wanted, yes I know,
    but your absence feels empty,
    not,
    serene...

    [Chorus]

You were my all and now you're gone,
    truly, truly...
    gone.
I'm left feeling like a useless pawn,
    truly...

And I'm free to do whatever now,
but your example weakens in my mind
wish I could just remember how,
    but some of the memories,
    I can't...
    find...

    Truly, truly...

Do you see the answers in the gloom?
Be they in the dark or in my room?
The night just offers a well masked guise,
    because I can't see,
    it's so wrong to despise...
