Anyone gotten the new Slough Feg album yet? I've been listening to it over and over again on Cruz Del Sur's website and finally got around to ordering it. Sounds absolutely fantastic.

meh that didn't last long, though its good I'll never be bored of Metal.
I listened to the new Slough Feg album and it is impressive, its quite rare for a band like that to keep pushing out great traditional metal sounding albums. I'll have to look for some Hammers of Misfortune as well.
The new Witchcraft album leaked and is pretty damned good.

There's been much speculation of a forthcoming Black Sabbath reunion with the original line-up with Ozzy Osbourne at the helm, but founding member Geezer Butler has adamantly denied such rumors.
"Heaven and Hell are currently in discussions with various record labels about recording a brand new studio album in 2008," says Butler.
Black Sabbath's recent incarnation as Heaven & Hell- fronted by Ronnie James Dio on lead vocals, sees the seminal heavy metal band undertaking a major UK arena tour this November. The band's moniker is taken after Black Sabbath's critically acclaimed 1980 studio album "Heaven and Hell" featuring the title track and the breakout hit "Neon Nights". Ronnie James Dio replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath in 1980 and the band went on to release four albums including 1980's "Heaven & Hell", 1981's "Mob Rules", and the 1982 live album "Live Evil", as well as the highly under rated "Dehumanizer" in June 1992.
Legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio (Dio, Black Sabbath, Rainbow) shares the spotlight on lead vocals, original Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, plus drummer Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath) as they embark on a major 11-date UK arena tour starting at Newcastle Metro Arena on Sunday 4th November.

To be honest I haven't really listened to much Black Sabbath without Ozzy, its not because I don't like it... more just haven't really gotten round to listening to it. Which of it is quite good/ worth checking out?
Oh and thank Baldr you reminded me of Hammers of Misfortune... I heard them years ago and liked it but never bothered to look for me but after listening to the Locust Years I've been playing it a lot lately. So good to say the least.
All of the Dio albums are definitely worth it. A lot of people slack the Tony Martin era material, but Eternal Idol and TYR are stellar albums and Cross Purposes isn't half bad either. Born Again with Ian Gillan and Seventh Star with Glenn Hughes both have their moments, but none of them really compare to the ones mentioned above, and I suggest that you stay clear off Headless Cross and Forbidden.
I've been listening to Belphegor solidly over the last few weeks. Swarm of Rats just doesn't seem to get old at all. I am going to stop listening to it rather soon though, just in case however unlikely that I do become bored of it.
I am in need of some new music. Has anyone heard of Wolves in the Throne Room? A lot of people I know are talking about them as of late...

Leviathan I am the same with Hammers of Misfortune, I never get bored of them but I want to try stop listening to them incase I eventually do.
Wolves in the Throne Room are actually fairly good for USBM, I haven't listened to them much but from what I did hear I liked. Worth checking out if you haven't already.
Right now I'm listening to a band called Gorath, not too bad.
I've been listening to Mortuary Drape a whole lot lately. Fucking awesome occult black metal with a serious Death SS/Mercyful Fate vibe to it. If all black metal was like this, I would never leave my house without corpse paint. Thanks for dropping their name in here brother Vinter \m/
