  1. NaNoWriMo and the new job

    Just real quick, because I want to save my keystrokes for the 50,000 words I have to write by the end of this month:

    I'm writing a novel! It's National Novel Writing Month, and I'm participating. At day 5, I have 10,000 words, and I'm still excited about this story. It means a lot to me to get to write about characters I've had in my head for 10 years. They finally have space on paper. I am thrilled. Is anyone else participating? We can be writing buddies on NaNo website.

  2. Update: The Secret Life of Bards

    Is renamed and completed, coming in at a first draft of 5800 words. The proper title I'm using is The Song of Wolf. It's part of a series of short stories that carries the overall title of The Secret Life of Bards. Cause I like it.

    Really excited to have completed it so quickly. Written over the course of about six days, averaging about 1000 words per writing session.

    Going to sit on it for a few days before revising. I did send it to one friend to read just to see ...

  3. Writing Goals 2013

    As with many people, the start of a new year means the end of some goals and the time to make new ones. I tend to break mine down by category. I don't think I finished any of my writing goals from last year but since I don't even remember what those goals were, I guess it's not that important, heh.

    January Goals:
    Revise Deathwalker (short story) & start sending it out
    Rewrite Deathwalker 2: The Devourer (short story)
    Write The Secret Life of Bards (short story) ...
