Which is your FAVORITE spell from ANY FF and WHY (summons do not count as spells)

I like Knights of the Round, even though it's a summon. I'm sorry, but having a spell that summons your very own small Amy of skilled knights to really turn the tide if any battle? Hells to the freaking yeah?! >=D

Seems you missed the "Summons do not count as spells" portion of the title.

Don't feel you have to apologize, that's how you generate discussion. This is a forum after all.

I don't really have one favourite spell, there's so many of them it's hard to choose. I love the heavy hitting non-elemental spells, like Flare, Ultima and Meteor. You won't be hanging around long after taking repeated blows from these spells, I could swear they ignore Defence and Reflect in some games too.


I like the buffing spells too (Protect, Shell, Haste, Blink etc). I always make sure to spend the first few turns of a boss battle setting them up, especially on II and XII where they give you so much to work with. I cant get enough of it.

FLARE was one of my favorites.
