Boston Marathon

I am kind of interested to see who is behind this atrocity and the motive involved as well. My friend in Boston is ok but she says there's still a state of apprehension in the air. Hope it doesn't get any worse.

holy shit i creep myself out sometimes.

so for those of you who just woke up, apparently two men were found screwing around outside of MIT. A police officer noticed suspicious activity and went to approach the guys, but the officer was disarmed, assaulted and later died in hospital. the two men then carjacked a mercedes and drove away. Police followed, then realized that the two guys were firing guns and throwing pressure cooker bombs and grenades. the two suspects flee on foot, with one of them shot and killed. the other one is still at large while I'm writing this. These two were confirmed to be suspects in the Boston bombings at the marathon as well.

This is where it gets interesting: apparently the suspect at large, there have been some people saying that it could be (not for certain yet) a young man by the name of Sunil Tripathi. This guy was a philosophy major at Brown who seemingly disappeared with out a trace almost 1 month ago, with last known footage of him was a street photo taken of him walking away from his apartment late at night, taken 20 minutes after he was on his computer, leaving his phone and wallet behind.

One last thing that me longing to be convinced of the connnection of Sunil is, how can some seemingly depressed and underweight early 20s guy end up disarming, stealing multiple cars, making bombs, etc and become a giant menace to the city of Boston in under a month? what is the motive for such a transformation, if it really is him that is....

I really want to stay up and see the conclusion, but I need to go to bed.

EDIT: apparently there are conflicting reports of whats going on and that Sunil is most likely not the suspect at large. I"ll just leave the post as it is here for now because im sure things will change once the morning hits and we get more info.
