Since the toilet roll holder fell off the wall a few months after I moved in and I never fixed it or more to the point, bought a new one as the one in question is rusted to all hell, I can't comment. I just keep them stacked under the sink, next to the toilet.

My parents' house has a toilet smaller than the average train toilet, so they have to keep it 'under', lest it get in the way. I changed it as I couldn't get a grip, but I got yelled at. Not really, but they told me why they keep it that way.
