Through out the story you have options during conversations and choices, you just have to make the right decisions to make Barret go on the date.


-When you enter Seventh Heaven, and you have a flower:
"Give it to Marlene"

-When Tifa asks how you slept:you reply
"Barret's snoring kept me up..."

-Getting to the last car of the train without getting
caught by the Security Lockdown will also help Barret go on a date with you.

-When Barret asks if you're alright:
I suppose you can look at ceartain choices as a point based system
if you answer with the right reply or a ceartain reply
it will give more points to a certain character but some can give you negative points.
So if you ansewr "(Be strong)" it will give you positive points
But if you reply "(I don't know if I can hold on)" you will get negative points towards Barret

-If Cloud is chosen as the Don's date:
"Yes, his name's Barret..."

-When you first meet Red XIII:
"Barret, take care of her!" (+2 Barret)

-If Barret is in your party after you agree to split up.

-When you get the option to think about Barret, Red XIII or Aeris:
Whomever you think about first will give you a positive score

-When you choose your party after escaping Midgar and Barret is in it.

-Talking to a woman in Kalm, who says Mako energy is convenient you answer
"You're full of it" only works if Barret is in your party.

-When you first talk to the old guy in Fort Condor:
"I guess so"

-After the old guy tells you about his problem:
"All right"

And thats about all there is i think if you choose these choices or decisions thnitsould resull indate witt Barret.
