Yeah, some "moderators" were kept in the dark also about the removal. (Well... Those of us who don't regularly check the staff forum, anyway...As soon as it was suggested to be removed.. it was removed. No chance at discussing it's removal. Since.. yeah...)
The forum technician/s are not obligated to discuss any forum addon/removal with the political staff, since the reasons for removing the rep system were NOT political as 90% of you seem to think.
And yeah, you lot are kept in the dark about lots of things.... things that don't concern you.
Honestly, talking about discussing things with you like this and all.. you have a point there, but honestly... only some things should be discussed with the public. Most things... not.
As someone said earlier "If they decide to leave because some stupid feature is gone, then they weren't here for the forum in the first place."
I have to agree with that statement. Regardless of the type of feature, obviously.
Honestly, if you feel we have to discuss things with you, hey, we might as well make the Staff forum public! >_>;;
...Uh.. No. -_-;
*sigh* Honestly.. something gets removed, and a can of worms is opened up.
Something gets added, and not even a word of thanks/approval except from a few noobs, and a few sensible people.
Pretty sad, no?
And if TFF is truly dying, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT instead of complaining about some shiny feature that was removed.
Seriously.. TFF is 70% all talk and no action. People complain and complain.. but never do a damn thing about anything.
I have my own ideas for my own forums and stuff, so I don't know about you guys.
Seriously. If TFF's activity is so low, tell your friends. Tell your neighbors, tell the mail person... make flyers. Make book inserts or something. Spread it out.
Link to it in your off-site blogs, or your myspace, or facebook, or friendster, or twitter...
Do SOMETHING instead of complain.
Oh, look.. I derailed the thread again... Kind of.
(Yay for ranting?)
