I thought the movie had already come out? Oh well, I don't pay much attention to the english releases of bleach stuff. I already saw the movie in Japanese, though, and I did like it. I can't wait until Diamond Dust rebellion comes out on DVD so that it gets subbed and uploaded onto the internet. ^^;

As for the anime, it seems the filler arc has just finally gotten going. -_- I was wondering how they were going to tie the two seemingly unrelated events together. I really would like to get back to the arrancar arc, though. I like the new captain and everything, but I'd rather see what happens next. ^^;

There hasn't been much activity as of late. We need a new discussion. Perhaps we can talk about Bakkoutou? The following isn't really a major spoiler, since it is introduced in a filler arc, but I'll still enclose it in spoiler tags.

SPOILER!!:

While the zanpakutō is a symbiotic being, working and growing more powerful as the shinigami develops a relationship with the sword's inner avatar, the Bakkoutou is more of a parasite, gradually consuming the user. Also, the bakkoutou differ as they lack the release forms (shikai and bankai) of a zanpakutō, instead growing and evolving as it feeds on the wielder’s spirit energy. Finally, while zanpakutō can only be wielded by their respective Shinigami, a bakkoutou can be wielded by any person with Spiritual Pressure and varies its power and ablity depending on its wielder. For example, the bakkoutou Saiga is used by more than one character. When it is first introduced, it is wielded by a common assassin and has the ability to momentarily paralyze opponents by reflecting light from its mirror in their eyes. However, when it is merged with someone more powerful, such as Nukui Hanza, it gains the ability to completely immobilize an opponent in its own dimension. Furthermore, if it is at full power (in which case it engulfs its wielder's whole upper body), it can create "nightmares" from the memories of the victim, even when its mirror is shattered. It is unknown how a bakkoutou is formed since a Soul Reaper's zanpakutō is allegedly formed when a spirit becomes a shinigami. It is, however, known that bakkoutou are forged through a secret technique of the Kasumiōji clan.
Personally, I dislike the bakkoutou. Parasitic swords? That's pushing it a little. They sort of strike me as being rouge zanpakuto. While a normal zanpaktou answers to only one master, these swords will respond to any. They're probably completely unrelated, but still.

It would be interesting to find out how they are made. They can't be manifestations of someone's soul or energy, because that would be a zanpakuto. Anyway, thoughts, questions, comments on these?
