OOC threads up! I would like all those who are interested in a club RP please respond to the OOC thread with ideas. I want this RP to reflect all of our members. I just provided a generic starting point. So speak up and when we're all happy we'll launch the RP.

    @Steel

Don't worry too much about the banners there's plenty of time for that sort of thing. btw, holy sh@t that dead deer thing is just weird lol. There's probably an interesting explanation for that one lol.

    @ Discussion

We're all weird individuals, right? Right? Do you think there's anything that we all have in common that makes us, not individuals, but a statistical group of deviants? A predictable factor of abnormals, so different that they're predictable to a fault? What do you think? Is there really any individuality in being labelled as "freaks"? And if there is, do we really want it?

All just random questions to ponder...

At anyrate, the RP OOC is launched!

I wouldn't say it's the most predictable thing, but there is one thing we'd have in common. A level of eccentricity or just plain abnormality above the average person. Though it would be for different reasons, it is a common feature. As for the individuality in being labeled a freak, I'd say it's there in a big way. Because we're all considered freaks for different reasons. Pain tolerance, intellect, a differing state of consciousness, an unusual amount of knowledge on one or more subjects, we all have our own thing. And I think it'd depend on the individual when it comes to wanting a 'freaky' feature. Some people like standing out, others don't. And some like me don't really care but have that much of an independent streak they stand out anyways.

What we all have in common is that we're all individuals.

THAT WAS SO CHEESEY IT HURT

Anyway. The things all we weirdos have in common is the fact that we, through some mechanism in our minds, have decided that we're not normal. That decision, to be what we are not and not something false, unites us on one level.

But that's about as much as I can think of. We're tied by difference.

Going to see OOC thread now

I don't know, really. I think it all depends on the individual. Every individual is different to the next. Me, personally... I don't really mind all that much what I'm seen as to others, mainly because I don't spend enough time around people to realise they might think I'm different.

I don't think I'm THAT predictable, especially in real life. My personality is so diverse, and I suffer from a personality disorder which sometimes puts a stint in my actions.

Certain individuals may be similar to others, but never the same, that's the point of individuality. If a certain group of individuals do something of the same category, for instance, if two could tightrope, or speak five different languages fluently, etc, then they may be under a category with each other.

Is this too confusing? I don't know, I'm in one of my strange moods...

The person in my avatar is me.

Hmmn, I'm not sure it's really that aspect that unites the "freaks" ... actually I don't even consider myself a "freak" that term is a bit... mutilated and used commonly as a hurtful name. I don't consider myself any better or any worse than the average person- although everyone to some extent developes subconciously a self-image of narcissism... I said to some extent . But all-in-all everyone is so superbly the same it is sickening, and nobody, not you, not myself, not President Bush, is THAT different than the other.

The only difference I see with individuality are the seperate aspect roles we each fit into. Nobody is unique, yet everyone is different. There has been an earlier version of you in the world and there will be a later version- hell, there may even be someone mirror-image to you living next door. There are of course the artists, then there are the rebels, the goody-goods, the blah blah blah's. I guess I'm feeling very cynical today because I normally wouldn't be pondering things such as this and my view would be completely different .

I really don't even know why I'm typing something this long to such a small post, but I feel like typing and I'm sorry if I come off as a bit annoying.

I just think that as a whole, human beings are a VERY unique species... unique from what? We know no other intelligent species capable of what we are... yet, so I guess we trully ARE 100% unique. But, as individuals, we're so predictable and boring. Nothing we say, nothing we do, nothing we ARE is new. It's already been and it shall be again. Jesus H Christ, it sounds like I'm attempting to drive someone to suicide. I'm not trying that, I'm just thinking outloud... err, on my keyboard.

Anyway, the only lasting impression someone can leave on this world is that of thoughts and ideas. Painters accomplish this by creating visual worlds and physical miracles, forever imprinted on the canvas of life; writers [as my self] do this by spawning ideas and stories from their very own bodies, molding them into delicate tales that millions of people will read, and millions of minds, even if only slightly, will be changed. I wish someday to do this, then I'll feel unique.

WTF?!?!?! Lmfao!!! I HAVE to up my doses of caffein... ^_^

    Fin!

The heart is nature's metronome, it counts seconds into miliseconds and even smaller. It beats with time, perpetually; how such a calculating organ became the symbol of love is a mystery to me.
