I sure can't wait until FFXIII, its almost here! Give it 3 more weeks and it will be released. Meanwhile I got 3 other cool games to play like Modern Warfare 2, Sonic, and Metal Gear Solid 4. I do have Ninja Gaiden but I loaned it to my brother. After getting FFXIII, i'm going to look into buying a subscription to gamefly and rent games from there that I want to play. You get to keep them as long as you want and you can also return them for different games. My first game I'll rent from there will either be Street Fighter IV or Tunsoko Vs Capcom.

as for the broken nes, can it be taken to some repair shop? or is it broken to the point where it cannot be repaired?

Sounds like a good plan. As I told you on AIM, i'm up to world 3 now on FFV. Gotta unseal the legendary weapons and get all the good side stuff before taking on the Cleft of Dimension.
