Hey! Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! Too bad there's not a continuation of the story in the anime though, and manga is kind of expensive... For me it is anyway. If you do pick up the manga, I hope you like it. I don't think I've seen Gundam 00... I watched Gundam Wing, and the 08th MS Team as well, and that's the extent of my Gundam experience.

I've also seen Berserk. I agree about the ending. The anime left me feeling a bit depressed when it was all over with...and I doubt I'll ever get around to reading the manga to that too.

What's your reason for backing Italy in general?

I also wonder if you thought Italy didn't dive and fake being hurt just a little too much. We were forced to substitute Fallon (my favourite player) because we couldn't risk him, the faking Italians, and that dodgy Guatemalan referee in combination. The shirt tug that gave Italy their penalty (and, according to you, prevented an upset) was ridiculous. He shouldn't have held him at all, I concede, but he had let go well before he made that dive.

I don't mean to say it's something peculiar to the Italians, by any means. The video is just for lols.

Given the magnitude of the skill and rank differential, it would've still been an upset if it was 2-1 to Italy. Seventy-three places ahead, man, did you ever expect a draw?

I mean, we qualified for the tournament by defeating Bahrain 1-0. Bahrain. It doesn't matter that it's not the same team that won the World Cup last time; what's more unusual and 'upsetting' is that New Zealand usually plays against the likes of the Solomon Islands in football matches. And here we are, footing it with some of the best in Europe. Several NZ players you watched that aren't even professional footballers.

Yes, it was a draw. And an ugly game. But given the circumstances, I don't think you can reasonably dismiss that result so readily.

EDIT: you must have been somewhat impressed by the Kiwi keeper, surely? He pulled of some remarkable saves, in particular, this one. Italy had 23 shots, not one connected. That speaks for itself.

That's a good point, but why can't a draw be seen as an 'upset', when virtually every realistic assessment of the prospects was in Italy's favour?

Ah... Lucky duck. I would love to hang out at the beach sometime. Bet it was fun, sans the sunburn of course. And I don't think about my feet either when I'm out in the sun too long. What's really great is when you're wearing a pair of sandals, and you get burns everywhere the sun can reach where there's no protection. When the burn heals, you have a nice tan line where your shoes were. xDDD Makes you look like you have dirty feet or something.

i don't remember if i've ever gone or not. the waves are ok i guess, i haven't been to any beach for a long time to be honest so i couldn't really tell you.

Yeah, i love the Ys game and I never expected SEVEN to come out here. not only that game is coming out but the other Ys games that are on PSP japan only. Ys oath in felghana which is the 3rd one remade and Ys 1 and 2 Chronicles. btw i'm in virginia right now, i'm up until tuesday the following week.

I read a bit of the description, but haven't seen an episode yet. I think they also offer Kuroshitsuji... If not, then that name seems oddly familiar somehow. *shrugs* Hope you enjoy watching the series! I finished up Nana...which I don't really recommend. 1.) It's probably too girly for you (it was kind of too girly for me too ), and 2.) While the first 20 or so episodes were somewhat interesting, after that, it went waaay downhill. I had to force myself to finish it...and when I did, I was rewarded with a pretty unsatisfying ending. :/

Heck yeah a sunburn is an injury! I hate when that happens... You just managed to burn your ankles though? Never heard of a burn on just that part of the body. I suggest some aloe vera or putting a nice cool, damp cloth on the burn. Hope it gets to healing fast for you.

Haha.. Most likely will be getting the ROM of it.. Shame on me. I haven't been able to go out and grab new games here lately... Last one I actually bought was FF XIII. I'm suppose to go out on a shopping trip soon, so I'll see about getting an actual copy of a DQ game. Glad you recommend some entries for me! The answer kinda eludes me. Banon, mechanically, is meant to work as a mage (and as a White Mage at that), but without any kind of magic.

He sounds like a faith healer in any case, perhaps practicing either very rudimentary magic (much like how Gau summons the power of the wild to cast all kinds of spells, even Blue Magic), or a very, very, very advanced form of science. I'd defer to Gau's grasp of "magic" in that sense, given that Gau can manifest magical power simply by tapping into the source of the wild.

Then again, that would require the explanation of Sabin's martial arts (Fire Dance, Aurabolt, Mantra and Spiraler have a strong magic bent), or Mog's Dance abilities (a rudimentary form of tribal Geomancy).
