Well, I'm sorry to hear that you have a little bit of apprehension about going. In all honesty, I think I would feel exactly as you do. However, I just want you to know that I think it's wonderful that you have enlisted to serve our country. It's a big decision, I know. I wish I could offer you some words of advice, but I honestly am quite clueless when it comes to military operations. The only thing I know what to say to you is even the smallest of tasks can have an big effect on the overall scheme of things. So, don't worry.

I'm not really good at responding to random messages, so bare with me

Well at least its balanced out; you guys will probably have the whole "good cop bad cop" thing going on once the kid gets older, but trust me, you'll pick up on things fast, you don't have to be around a child for long before you start picking up on how to care for him/her.
I used to be just like you, I couldn't tell a kid no, but if you give them an inch they'll take a mile so I learned to be stern with them over time. xD
Haha, when you put it that way, the lives we're living aren't all that different. We got tough times but we're doing what we love!
