Ooooohhh! I hear GOOD thing about that Castlevania game! 10 files wasn't so bad?!?! I got frustrated with 3! As for the spelling, probably because they're both Oddworld games, and the creators were just going with the gimmick. So yeah, just for the kicks.

Yeah, the whole license system gets a lot of criticism, but I thought it was neat, since you had to earn your right to use a piece of armor, weapon, magick or whatever. You couldn't just simply buy it and be ready to use it. That would have been too simple, I think. As for multiple hits with a weapon, I think that has to do with a character's speed and type of weapon they have, like Katanas and axes give your characters higher speed, so they can get in more hits.

That must be my problem, since I didn't download them via torrents. Just one file at a time. Grueling process, btw. I can live without the PSX emulator, I suppose. Let's see... I think I was about 12 when I played Oddysee (looooong time ago), and yeah, I forgot that the titles were spelled that way until you pointed it out!

I like XII for the amount of exploration there was to do in the game, and also the political aspect of the storyline. It was really intriguing for me to watch the events unfold, and it just seemed so different that the usual "party of heroes have to save the world from destruction". It seemed more "real" to me, even though it's still a fantasy. Also, the way you could customize just about every aspect of your characters was pretty awesome for me. I loved that I wasn't just stuck with the main protagonist at all times (like Cloud, Squall, etc.). Also there were subtle things that I liked as well. Like did you know that if you equip the same weapon to different party members, they would hold the weapon and use it differently from one another? That just seemed pretty awesome to me. And I just want to add one more thing and I'll stop: Basch fon Ronsenburg. He's awesome.

I tried the PS1 emulator, but there was a lot of work just to get it up and running, not to mention the ROMs that I found, you had to download a bunch of seperate files just to play ONE game! That seemed like too much hassle to me, so I got rid of it. I know. I'm lazy. Xenogears sounds like it would be good though, and I played Abe's Oddyssey (not Exodus though) on the PC when it first came out MANY years ago. Hehe... I'm showing my age.

(I was always afraid. But then I heard about how easy the game is even on Proud Mode... So far so easy! Actually, I've been abusing aerial combos and Blizzard. Aerial comboes are fast and reliable, and Blizzard is useful from a distance. So far, I haven't died! (But Donald did, twice! )
