Well, if you were told over MSN that something was happening, I will concede that it was probably happening. Although Meier Link and I asked for an explanation in the CPC8 Social Group, and people denied that it had happened. It's rather disheartening that they lied, though I suppose I should just let it go, since it happened a year ago... It's not sad that you did look into it - it's called investigation. Eh, you probably are right - I don't recall when I said you weren't. Although, I will point out that yes, people are voting how they want to vote, but that doesn't change that fact that there was something going on that never had a chance to develop because it was resolved before it could. However, going by that thread alone is pretty pointless... so you may have wasted a little time... I don't have proof of it, but I remember a few msn conversations where it was made clear what was going on (in one of them, I was given an apology of sorts, but that this person was still going to vote against me), and a particular PM with someone IN CPC8 over it, who never doubted that's what was going on. Hey, so I went and dug up last year's elimination thread. Lookit this page. This is a couple pages before Mistress Sheena complained, and it's the same page Pete got eliminated, leaving Joe, Meier Link, you, and me as the last members left. Notice how the votes are. Exactly as I said they were in the "Why's everyone angry?" thread, heh heh. I know what you might say. "Why would you go look for that? Don't you have a life?" Well, it took a few minutes on a Sunday morning before I go to church. But yeah; that doesn't look rigged to me. That just looks like people voting how they want to vote, as I said in response to Sheena's post that she deleted a year ago. And since you brought it up a year later, I thought I'd clarify. It's all good though. I know I'm just a coward on the internet who can't pick any fights anywhere else, and that's the only reason why this matters to me, right? Seriously though, it's all good. By the time she'd posted the angry message, I think I'd resolved something with Meier. So there was no need for it... or something like that. I know that by the time she'd written that angry post, it was too late to complain about something.
Meier and I asked all of them about it, and they all denied it to us. Maybe they were lying to me. EDIT: I will just say that for the record, that whole situation last year really annoyed me. I suspected one party or the other of lying, but didn't say anything because I didn't want it to explode too much. I remember Mistress Sheena posting an angry message in the thread and deleting it as I was responding to it though, and many people acting shady about it.
I wasn't in the top four when it started, I don't think. Also, if I was the "odd one out", I wouldn't have cared - it's just a game, and I can take losing. I only got angry because there was a plot to start docking my points from the clan of CPC8, and none of them made a secret about it... I think because I was the only person left in the voting that wasn't a member. Turning it into a CPC8 game was just wrong - everyone has the right to participate, and so I pointed it out. So yeah, I had every right to be angry. To me, that's not playing the game Meier had set out for us.
