Happy Birthday. It sucks getting injured. I've only dislocated my clavical during p.e. Another guy and I slammed into each other in the air, we were playing some variation of football. What made it worse is I landed on the side were my clavical got busted. I've been holding off trying to get a new car cause of the insurance and my car being as old as it is my insurance is 92 dollars a month, every month.

Not that I seem to agree with much that you say, just that you know how to carry a discussion intelligently, without belittling, and by attacking the argument, not the person.

You've got me beat with the Cubs, for sure. I thought the Mets were heartbreakers from 06-08, but a whole century of losing just kills. At least Dusty Baker isn't managing them anymore.

Wow, sounds exciting but scary. I saw a programme on soldiers retelling stories. Some of the stories were pretty horrific; I don't know how people are able to make such split decisions in conditions like that! My grandpa was an RAF pilot in WW2; he got shot down a few times, but I think he lived for pilotting which is why he kept at it for so long -- even after the war he pilotted all over the world. I don't know much about him, except for some of his stories but I imagine him to be brave. I think all soldiers possess a bravery that goes beyond any of the rest of us.

Visiting family; sounds good! I still live at home because I'm finding it difficult to get a job at the moment and the last thing England needs is yet another artist. Starting to wish I'd studied something else. I want to do either official sponsored portrait painter or film set design. I don't think I'm good enough for the latter, though. I'm rambling though!

I never forgot about you; I just don't know what to say to people these days. Don't be insulted by that though; to be honest, I think I need a course with this exact title: "how exactly to talk to other humans."
But I'm okay; actually that's a formal thing to say. Speaking honestly I haven't been very well and I have constant bouts of sickness, but other than that most things are fine!
