    Oh i see now where you are getting, Well, we dont need to make a recipe for everything... The unleashes could be a bonus ability for an upgraded weapon, though its not on everything. Also remember, We do have enemies, who can drop recipes as well, Not just Chests and Towns, but you could maybe also make a few side-quests, giving a recipe as reward.

    Recipes make the weapon, Get the Materials...

    Remember, that we do have cross alternatives with what we can upgrade each weapon, though that we need a recipe for each alternative one as well, But dont worry, Its fairly easy to go with this.

    If you mean "Dismantle" as in turning the Weapon into new materials, then no, its not possible, However, you can turn items and everything into new recipes AS LONG you are making it FROM a recipe.

    Use a Recipe, to create a new Recipe, that sounds complicated and unnecesary.

    Not really, The system makes it easy for enemies to have multiple types of weaknesses.

    No, the weapon HAS to be specific, I cannot be anything else, And yes... This is definitely going to be many recipes, but that adds a part to the game, But EVERYTHING doesnt need to have upgrades, besides their basic standard ones, featuring the plusses.

    Yes, Its possible, But dont get confused that the result was confirmed by the material, Because materials doesnt change the Stat Boosts, only the weapon result.

    Yes, we can add monster-type advantages to weapons, including elemental types, But monster type advantage doesnt go with percentage, Only "how" weak one enemy is against it, For instance... A "Pride Cutter" is effective on Wolves, but the enemy is an for example; "Werewolf", so the weapon is effective, but because its not an "true" Wolf, it isnt as effective as an "Silver" Weapon would be.

    True, Once the weapon is fused, it cannot be fused back, Unless we decide to make an material which returns the weapon to its previous form, However... Take this note; If you have "Reset Stone" on your "Flametongue", and you made this Synthesized weapon when it was previously an "Barong++", It will return into being an regular "Barong" without plusses.

    We cannot see the slots on a weapon, because we're not going with that system, We can use the weapons; Description bar as an "hint" for its abilities.

    Mind you, we're kind of running an Dragon Quest style of "Alchemy" when it comes to Synthesizing, however, unlike the series, we cannot "guess" our way in making items, you need an recipe for it, No recipe, no items.

    Going by percentage is possible, But not like which you have shown, Slots cannot exist on a weapon, It sits on the finished weapon already and theres no way to change that.

    Most weapons has simple upgrades like the chart i showed, They just get a standard upgrade, Unless you use a different material like Flameweed to change the weapon from a Barong, into an; Flametongue.

    Yes, You cannot apply Stat Boosts to weapons without transforming the current weapon, into an entirely new one, Its complicated to say... The system can allow 2 Barongs even if they are entirely different to each other to exist.

    But because of categorizing problems, I can only allow Barong+ and ++ and etc to exist.

    I suppose, But refighting bosses is a tricky one, I could make them stronger, But they have to have fixed Statistics.

    I dont think its necessary to enabling to put such uber high upgrades on low tier weapons... Thats like wasting space, Its better if we go with an standard lone of upgrades like...

    Barong -> Barong+ -> Barong++
    Steel Saber -> Steel Saber+ -> Steel Saber++

    These are just standard upgrades without using any specific materials, you just use standard materials, and their quanity you need to upgrade increases for each upgrade.

    They go up a teir, But they dont make any specifc changes, except becoming alittle more powerful, AND depending on the weapon... It could recieve an special ability like an "Unleash" for its upgrade.

    So, I cannot make simple stat upgrades like what you said, unfortunely not without changing the weapon to an entirely new one. Because the finished upgrades are placed on the finished weapons "notes", and not the materials.

    Its complicated to tell this, I cannot really give and hands-down explaination on this.
  8. Well, it's just that stuff like the first boss, with 500 HP, will kinda be a joke if they're refightable.

    I was under the assumption we just find better rankings of certain materials. Like Fire Shard, then Fire Ore, then Fire Gem. Or maybe just one version of it for easier synthesizing.

    Well, technically, they're drugs, really. Only the best! And yes, I know about the stat boost. I meant applying stat boosts to weapons. Like, the Barong has Strength +10. Adding whatever materials will add Strength +5, so it's be Strength +15.

    There's actually about 5 tiers of stat upgrades. HP, for instance, has 100, 500, 1000, 5000, and 10000 boosts. Obviously, the higher ones are harder to find, if they're not impossible to just "find."

    Yes, Its possible to just make a portal, and entering it, Can immediately initiate the boss battle and everything, Tougher? Not sure about that really.

    Just to mention, Its possible to even upgrade the materials, Like using materials to get different kind of materials... Materialception!!

    If you mean raising stats outside of synthesis, We can use "Seeds" items that boost that permament stat of the character by using on them, like mentioned before, If you did mean about the synthesis...

    Well, We can as i mentioned, Make sure that there are 3 different basic upgrades or something, One that bolsters STR, SPD... VIT and what not...
  10. Nah, just the boss. No story, they're just back for more. Perhaps they should be tougher and carry better rewards. (Maybe even materials???) You couldn't just make a portal or something that initiates the fight?

    I know we're not upgrading the materials, just the weapon. Then how does one go about raising stats such as Strength and whatnot? Items? I need some more clarification on this.

    I see, that's good. As it would've allowed one to bypass the synthesis limit.

    Alright, I guess we'll just need to ship them out. We'll probably have a good chunk of them sold in shops or something.

    Its possible, But not refight them by rewinding the clock or something, But i can create an place in the game where you can refight all the bosses, We can just call it an alternate dimension.

    Also... you are misunderstanding me... I cannot make components or materials that boosts specific stats, As i said, The upgrades is on the finished weapons, not the materials.

    But yes, I can combine a Synthesized weapon with a Blank one, But that will only result into an entirely new weapon, So its not possible to transfer stats into another weapon...

    Also not really, A single "recipe" only teaches how to make that weapon which is listed on it, A single "recipe" cannot offer more than 1 result, In which case... We need more different kinds of recipes.

    The new weapon will of course have increased stats. We can probably settle with just putting an "plus mark" (+) or something.

    The rare materials are to be gotten as rare drops or definite drops from... Bosses and maybe rare enemies. But thats just part of the challenge.

    Yes, The latter weapon transform into a new one, And i can keep upgrading the weapon further and further, Until there is an end, But dont make upgrades to big, Maybe just 3 upgrades to most weapons, And thats standard ones... There are special upgrades.

    Not really, I cannot boost certain types of effects by that way, Dont give to complicated effects either. And yes, the latter item disappears, to be replaced with an stronger varient of it (depending on the recipe).

    Actually, You cannot combine items, AT ALL if you dont have the recipe, So randomly trying to make shit will lead nowhere, You will NEED the recipe in making an item.

    Not exactly, I cannot make materials of some sort that simply changes the weapon by boosting its stats but still remains to be the same weapon, I can only transform the current weapon into a new Synthesized one, Though you can Synthesis again with the Synthesized weapon for further upgrades.

    Im not saying Ultimate/Cursed weapons cannot be synthesized, They can, be the requirements for their upgrades are considerly MUCH harder to meet with, Maybe because of rare materials and such.

    And again, Likewise up there, I cannot use a Material, to give the current weapon an "Unleash" without changing the weapon overally, You'll have to transform the weapon into a ENTIRELY new one, In order for it to recieve one "Unleash". Also to note this, "Unleashes" and "Stats Boost" doesnt exist in the Materials, They exist already in the weapon you are "trying" to make.

    And yes, Armors, Acessories, Headgear and etc, All items can be Synthesized, Even regular items, So if you wanna improve Potions or something, Just meet the requirements.

    Now im just telling this... Because this is important to know, You cannot make a weapon/item right away even if you got the legitimate materials, You need the "Recipe" of the item as well in order to follow it and make it.

    Dont worry, Weapons that are "Cursed" doesnt mean they're extremely awful, They are fairly strong for their power, Though the inability of removing them once equiped until you can purify yourself can be easily fixed, We can have "Church" places sell "Holy Water" or something to remove these, For a pretty cheap price if there is need.

    For the triangle of basic simple upgrade choises, Its not going be damage multipying, The current weapon, Transform into another one, Not remaining to be the same one... Also the damage buff, Will probably be just... I dunno. Between 20-50% better than it was before.

    But you cannot randomly attach Fire Element on a weapon like the form of "Materia" system. And then removing it... Once you make a weapon, the latter weapons disappears, and the components created for it as well, No takey-backsies.

    As for Unleashes, Yes you are correct, When a character performs an "Normal Attack" they can potentially randomly by percentage perform the Weapons "Unleash" skill, See it as an better form of attack but yeah... All weapons doesnt have it, But like i said above, You cannot randomly remove it like the "Materia" system, Its stuck on the weapon... If you dont like it, Change weapon.

    Though, You could use Synthesis, Upgrade an weapon, And then by then, When it usually didnt have an Unleash, I can make sure its Upgrade does have one, But Unleashes are "hidden" you dont get to know which weapons has one, But dont take it for random chance.

    Usually, We can have weapons who are both of these you considered, Some which are just upgrades and others with, something negative to it for its power; Hence why we could go with so called; Cursed weapons. Equipping one of those prevents you from ever removing it again from a character...

    Not sounding great right? But you can remove the weapon with a Special Item to "purify" the character, thus enabling the weapon to be removed.

    Also, We can just build some weapons, Who might not be strong, But are effective against certain enemies; Like; Pride Cutter who is effective against Wolves and of the likes. Thats possible.

    Also, For the synthesis, techniquely, We can use it to improve an weapon, into a better varient of it, Or we could have a split system in which weapon it can transform into;

    Like, One varient which is stronger in STR, one which fortifies SPD, one which increases DEF... A split varient in which you can choose... Though you could also make the "Balanced" version of it as well, Which is good in all areas, but not typically stronger than the one, which would have fortified STR or whatever...

    Of course, There should be some unique weapons as well, which are created by other components unlike these upper typical upgrades... Also, all weapons cannot be upgraded, But Cursed ones can as well, Also, you could maybe Bless them, turning from Negative pollarity weapons into Positive.

    Its just how i see it, You could tinker the idea to work with you, But know this... I cannot randomly generate weapon names, Like a typical "chance" and "luck" system, in which you get like; "Godly Flimsy Pride Cutter". That... i cannot do.
