Ahh. Gotcha. I bought my TV in a shop too, but my TV has so many connections that while I waited for the HDMI cable to arrive I just played with the AV cables.

Pro tip: charge the controller before you play. It's a wireless controller. It lasts a long time when charged too (coming from an ex-unemployed gamer who sometimes has too much time on her hands).

I get where you're coming from though. Accessories are pretty expensive. But third party ones are MUCH cheaper. Sony's wireless keyboard is £25, but you can get a PC USB keyboard for like £8. Same with headsets.

With HDMI cables... they're cool, but you don't need them. I have one - third party one, and works just as well. I simply got it as a birthday present last year, set my brother back £15, and I've been able to enjoy all my games in awesome quality - IMO, better than enjoying one game he could have got me.

Didn't mean to jump in. I see where you're coming from, but... yeah. There's ways around not being a "silly customer" without missing out. ;p

Oh, and uh.. HDMI cables are like $2.14 now.

Uh, my remote uses batteries... OH. PS3 controller. Uh...I sit 1 meter away from my TV... since my computer desk is right next to it.. That, and I can just plug the cord into my USB port too if I wanted.

Uh, if two months old is still "recent", then okay. But that video you posted was uploaded to youtube way back in March, before the PSN shut down happened. Although your initial post just linking the video was off topic itself, too though. XD

That's why I said the video wasn't recent and had nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Although for the record, I got my HDTV for like 200$ and the HDMI cable for like 15$. ...Yeah, that's way over priced. >_>
