Answering your question about what Harry Turtledove books I've read that are good: I've only read the Darkness series which is about an alternate take (duh) on World War II with a magic spin. Dragons replace planes. Eggs are bombs and grenades. Behemoths are tanks. Leviathans are ships/subs. The german country looks Scottish or Irish, performs circumcision (the only ones in this world), have italian names. While the jews are blonde hair and blue eyes and had an empire that is similiar to the Roman Empire. There are six books in the series and I found all of them to be very good.

I'm waiting for my tax returns to get a new tv. In the meantime I'll be using the main tv of my house when it is free or my girlfriend's whenever I visit her and that is free as well.

Why not get a PS3 towards the end of this month or now? Do you not have the money for it currently? I would check with your local store to see how PS3s are selling at the moment and go from there. If they sell quickly then by the time March comes around, more people may be coming out to get their PS3s for FFXIII and God of War III, so it may be best to get one as soon as possible and let it sit in your room and know that you have one when the time comes rather than hoping.
