I've never played a Yugioh game. I only watch the anime, not so much that anymore. Still have to finish the last season sometime.

Well it is not like I logged all those hours at once. I played regularly over like a year. I doubt you'd play FFVIII regularly for several hours for a whole year. ^^

I'm combining my time on WKC2 with WKC1.

When you play the game long enough you'll have it figured out. I know most of it because I've played the game for 700 hours and I'm a mage. So I already work to exploit weaknesses to make my spells even more powerful.

Hard to be stubborn about something you haven't even played. But yes, there is a lot of things to know about the game. Fortunately, for how long it has been around a lot of the information available around the forums. So you don't have to feel too lost. But people will expect you know and remember weakness and strengths of monsters.

Yes, there are items you can use to heal yourself. But largely it is divine magic. The better items cost a bit of money or materials to make and you have a limit to many you can carry. They are used, but not as frequently.

Yeah, it's 80, but I don't know if that'll change. I don't know if they are continuing to support the game with new content. I don't even know if we've gotten all of the JP content yet. But the level cap you'll be at will be 60 until you get your GR higher.

Just remember that flying monsters, such as dragons can only be attacked by magic and bows. It is not a huge amount of things, but it is something to keep in mind.

The upside is that if you make a mistake you can reincarnate when hit lvl 80 and when you start WKC2 from WKC they let you redo your skills. So if something is wrong with how you played in WKC you can change it.

With how things are in WKC2 I don't think a tank is as important. I can tank myself as a mage with the skills I have. I end up soloing things that others would have trouble with doing. Mages are pretty crazy and awesome.

If I remember right spear is still a bit of a tank, but I think it got modified from WKC to WKC2. So I don't know how much of a tank it is still. I think to some degree they use the Incorrutus for tanking, the mecha.

Well keep working at it and you'll get there.

Bow is pretty good, but it is more support. Axe, I don't know much about it. I don't how good it is. It is good for damage, but slow I know that much.

Well it is nothing so rigid as you pick a class and go. You pick your skills from 8 categories. There is short sword, long sword, spear, magic, divine, bow, staff and axe. So it doesn't really build to warrior or something like that.

The game has in game forums, but there is also neoseeker which has an established community as well as a decent wiki. I've been a little disconnected from the game as of late and I'm a mage. So I mostly know about mage class stuff, but I should be able to answer most questions so long as they are not too specific.

There are actually official guilds in WKC2. They have their own homepages in game and hometowns as their base. It is a real feature in the game, it just wasn't in WKC.

Well you'll want to decide what type of class you want to play. You'll also want to either read up on the literature on the forums or get some feedback from me about the classes. Since it can be easy to screw yourself over. You can undo things when you get to certain points, so you can't permanently wreck yourself, but you can set yourself back for a while.

Well the story for WKC is only about 20-30 hours long depending on how you play. In the first game there weren't, but there are guilds now, but the two are unrelated.

You can only play the story offline. There are two parts of the game. The story and then the online. While the work you do in each matter, you can't do one in the other. You do have to complete the story in order to unlock the areas in online to play. So at the start of the game you'd only be able to play in one area online. Hence the other important reason to completing the story first.

Leveling up, it just the same as any other RPG. You have levels, kill monsters and get the exp from it. GR is Guild Rank, which allows you to do higher ranked quests, access higher ranked gear and items. It also unlocked level caps allowing you to reach lv 80.
