Not as much as you may think. Yeah, I realize I write a lot (and I get winded in writing), but I like to be concise, and I tend to apologize for winding myself that much.

Though that pales in comparison with the people that usually hang in Intellectual Discussion...

Post outside of WG/H and earn it the correct way, begging in my books will get you nowhere. There are plently of threads you can post into and make a few extra gil quickly.

I don't have that kind of gil, then again I would not just hand it over if I did.

If you're going to design a class for players, it should be balanced compared to the average of all classes. Anything that works better than all classes doesn't seem to cut it, specifically if it has an automatic Movement Ability (usually, all inherent abilities are support AND based on FF-classic abilities, such as Monks fighting Bare-Handed or Ninjas using Two Swords) Also, the abilities should be thematic in origin: adding a weird set of moves doesn't seem to cut it.

If it's a monster class, you have some more liberties in the area of Attack abilities, but your other abilities are restricted.

If it's for an enemy NPC, it should be no stronger than Altima/Ultima, which has some pretty amazing spells around.

One more thing; if the class forces a bizarre algorithm to work aside from those already established, something's wrong. Mostly, that's what I see with the "energy counters" system you seek to apply (either be by counting turns, or making a support ability designed for the sole purpose of enhancing one of the classes' moves).

Now, that's a bit complex to do in FFT mechanics, since essentially you can't transmigrate any character other than Reis (Holy Dragon -> Dragoner). So, the closest catch would be making the Archangel as a monster class, much like the aforementioned classes: already learned all of its skills, but you can't actually change the class OR the skills beyond those mentioned.

My approach would be: the character would already Fly, so nothing else in the area of movement. Force a Holy element on it. All monsters have Counter, so it should have Counter as well. Add just a few moves (I liked the Divine abilities, I could have agreed just for those three and a Holy move, and that's it). Perhaps add a perma-Faith ability, and cause your attacks to be Faith-dependant.
