I don't know, because in FoMT, it didn't matter if you had grass, since you could buy hay from the farmer who sold you the cows. Planting and making your own feed for your animals is cheaper, but not necessary. It's like that in all the games that I've played.
I could try but i don't think game guides help that much. They do help but they don't always tell me what I want to know. I don't think it matters which version because its all about having enough grass right? I have the money to buy a cow but I'm lacking grass. How do I get enough grass? wait let me rephrase, how much grass is needed in order to get a cow?
I haven't played the version you're playing, so my pointers probably wouldn't help. Have you thought about looking up a game guide or something?
Thanks lol. take note that I did it all in under a year. I brought her some gifts so far and i'm trying to save up more gold again. I want to buy a cow but I can't because the ranch guy said I needed more grass so I'm gonna have to wait until probably spring of year 2. The reason I got Ann to like me so quickly enough to buy a feather and propose is because I found her weather vane. She had 3 hearts at the time. Can you give me some pointers for owning a cow?

i'm at the 29th of summer on my file. i got 3 years to make a successful running farm. hope your headache passes, i haven't gotten one in a long time.
If you can make your money, then it doesn't matter what your farm looks like. I think it's getting there. You just started not that long ago, and it takes time to build up a farm from scratch. You'll get where you wanna be soon enough. And nah. I have a bit of a headache, so I think I'm going to head to bed too.
Theres at least one more upgrade I think but its going to take quite the moneymaking before I can actually get it, right now I want to focus on getting Ann's hearts up to 5 so I can marry her and get a family going. EDIT: this is the requirements for a super deluxe log house: 10,000 Gold and 750 Wood My...um....fencework isn't the best haha but i got some crops about. I've been wayy too busy trying to make money and giving ann gifts in the game which explains the lack of fence. Pretty sad looking huh? Oh, would you like to msn it up for a while before i head off for the night? if not thats cool

hahaha thats pretty funny. heres the other one i wanted to show you EDIT: i made some progress in HM, i'm getting my house expanded, and i got a sprinkler in place of the watering can. I'll have to show you a screenshot when the house gets bigger and i'll show you where i have my crops and stuff.
