  1. i had a question for you about SMRPG, as you already know where i'm at, do you think i'm pretty high leveled from my current point in the game? I just nabbed star piece number 2 and my characters are level 15 now and Geno just joined.
  2. uh.... not yet, i'm having a problem on this one part. its a room full of mazes. I have to work my way through 100 rooms total to get to my next destination. I'm playing it right now to see if i can actually make it through all the way. The furthest i got is 60 something rooms but then i died and when you die you do it all over

EDIT: i think i'm just gonna go full time on SMRPG in the way of gaming, i got to room 70 something which is a new record but i died again haha. Btw, remember this? Bring the Rain: AQUAMAN DROWNED...
  3. Oh, yeah. I saw your post in the Currently Playing thread where you said you were playing this game. Glad you like it now. I guess you're finished with Super Paper Mario, then?
  4. i got news for ya, i started playing SMRPG and i love it. I played it a few times before but i never beat it, i was playing for hours last night. that brings me to asking myself "I didn't like this?"
  5. I like that movie. Been forever since I've seen it though. I like a lot of Mel Brooks' movies, but that one is probably my favorite.
  6. oh, almost forgot, i saw that men in tights movie the other night.
  7. Can't recall any off the top of my head, but I'm sure there's been a few that have done that to me.
  8. New topic: have you ever watched any musicals that you really like? i've been singing away to songs from the disney musical, The Newsies, i got most of the songs stuck in my head now and i run around the house like crazy when i watch the musical numbers on youtube.

thats what i've been doing all week haha.
  9. Sure, I'll give it a go. And I do have the rom for All-Stars. As for Super Paper Mario, yeah, it seems cool, but I have a LOT of games that I really want to check out first. If I find it for cheap though, I'll probably get it, but Nintendo likes to keep their first party Wii titles at full price.
  10. yeah i know you haven't tried my experiment. what i meant was, would you be willing to try it if you decided to load the roms up whenever you play?

it also works with the lost levels. my suggestion would be to get the all stars rom so you don't have to download each game separately. Oh, coming back to Super Paper Mario, have you any interest in playing that game?
  11. I haven't tried it (still working on other games, namely BBS and DQ IX), but thanks for the tips.
  12. It works! SMB 1 is fool proof with this. if you input the b button with the right arrow key you'll be able to run forward and jump without having to press 3 keys. SMB 2 kinda worked but you really had to fiddle around with it. SMB 3 i had to facepalm myself i forgot that the b button brings up the item menu, however if you don't mind inputting back and forth (using b as a separate key for the world map and programming it with the right arrow for the levels)

EDIT: So did my experiment prove helpful to you? you may not be able to play all the side scrolling marios that way but you can at least play the first mario bros without much trouble.
  13. Ah, that does sound like fun. And yeah, I saw the post on Kotaku about the box set. It looks pretty nice. Good luck with your experiment.
  14. My favorite part about the super paper mario game is being giant 8-bit styled mario (can also do it with peach, luigi, and bowser whom are not in my party yet). you can also get a pal item where multiple small marios run around with you and help stomp on enemies, its great haha.

i noticed in your thread about the mario anniversary that you forgot to mention some of the mario series, but no biggie, theres no need to list ALL of them but i did make mention of the mario party games. Did you hear about the super mario collection coming out to the Wii in Japan?

EDIT: i just thought of a clever workaround in platforming games, i'm going to test it and see if it works. for sidescrolling smb games i thought of programming the dash and directional button together to see if it makes things easier. I know if you program two things together it makes things easier to do.
  15. It's good. The load screens are a pain to sit through at times, but other than that, no complaints.

And yeah, I hear you on replaying some Mario games. I really want to play through some myself, but the ones I have access to right now are through emulation, and I still suck at using a keyboard for platforming games. Oh well.
