Not really! It's perfectly routine for a 16 year old to go to college here! I've already chosen a course in Creative Media Development (Games Design)! I hope it isn't, seems mighty careless. It would be nice if it stayed up, but it shouldn't be too hard to find another volunteer spot. I've been thinking maybe I'll try and find some artistic voluntary work instead, though. It's probably better to try and make money off the art, anyway. Always wanted to some day when I was a kid.

I think gaming is probably best kept for pleasure, even if a job in playing games sounds perfect for a lazy bum like me. You do get a bit overly critical, and that brings down the enjoyment of games.

She really is such a sweetie-pie, you'd think a girl like that wouldn't play stupid games, but I guess you never know? She used to write me long messages in forum PM's before this, and there is no clue that she likes me any less now when we talk on the PSN, in fact, I almost think she likes me more right now. So it makes even less sense?

I'd really like her back on sites with me, becuase talking on the PSN is awkward, as I'm sure you know. I want to stay around her until she tells me to get lost. The way I put that is a bit dumb. I feel like they are games that deserve finishing, but I just can't seem to get motivated becuase I hate the dungeons, and for some reason I find it pretty hard. Did you find them a challenge at all?

Aww...becuase of all the social link thingies? Or even if you skip out on them is it a very long game? Don't you have a PS2? Or is it a problem with money? Yeah, the characters in 4 seem a lot more memorable. I'm having trouble remembering more than two of the characters from 3. Are you gonna get the Persona fighting game? I'm pretty hyped for that. So great they're getting the guys & gals that made Blazblue to do it....<3

Have you ever played Blazblue at all? So damn cool. And the music it absolutely fantastic, one of the best game soundtracks in my book. The main genre of it is metalish, so if you like metal at all, it'll probably be a hit with you. It ranges a lot, though. I'm really glad illness isn't what stops you, that would be awful if you couldn't even play games becuase you were too unwell on a regular basis. Yeah, I did a lot of drawing over the last couple of day, seem to be improving pretty fast. :s I heard from one of the other workers they were thinking of shutting down some of the sites yesterday. Mine included, since they've taken on more than they can afford. Which is stupid. They went around buying a lot of sites with good Google rankings.

They say we can still write for their main site, but I think I'll snatch a break, and write elsewhere becuase they aren't the best of folk anyway, sadly.


She does, but...well. See. I love her to bits, but she's really weird. You'd think maybe she hates me, or something, but on the PSN she is really super nice to me. A few months ago she starts saying her laptop is bust so we can't talk on the computer no more, but she has obviously been around on MSN and a few sites. I tried to question her about it, but she just pretended not to know what I was talking about.

I told her if she doesn't like me anymore, she should feel free to say so, or just straight-up delete me, but she doesn't. Heck, just on Saturday she sat and played a game for two hours with me, so she probably doesn't hate me....she sounded like she had a whole lotta fun as well. It really confuses me.

It was torture when the PSN was down, but sometimes she says she is busy with her work, and college and vanishes for a few weeks, so in a way I'm used to it.

I know it all sounds weird, and what's stranger is she's still my favourite person on the whole damn planet. Even if she is playing some weird head game with me, I can't stop liking her. She is funny, sweet, nice, smart, cool, and understanding. Pretty much everything you could want in a person.

I knew her for well over a year, and she never said a single word that hurt my feelings, I actually thought that was impossible until she came along, she is never in-sensitive with her words. Sometimes her actions, but never words.

Feel free to talk about naps all you want, they make me curious. Is it the heat that makes people need them, do you think? Maybe I have too much energy to need them is all. I should ask some English people. xD I'm lazy, but I'm energetic.

I guess they didn't want pretty/cute things in the game, but then again, one of the hairstyles you can pick for the girls is pigtails. Naw, you don't. Maybe that's why they decided to cut corners on the customization. Hehe, you probably know more about character builds than me now.

My favorite out of all the complaints I've seen has to be "It's a good game, but it's not a Final Fantasy game." Seen that one more than once...so shouldn't they hate all games that aren't Final Fantasy?

There seems to be a theory that every bodies favorite is always the first one they play, yeah. It oddly seems to hold true with most. VII was also my first, and I loved it to shreds for years, but then I went back and played through it again when I was about 21, and didn't like it...xD I guess it hasn't aged well?

How are you doing?

I'd only played for an hour and a half, so I guess it was pretty fast to warm up. I think they just left it in. I told my brother about it after, which annoyed him no end becuase he struggled t kill it.
It's definitely a good deal harder, but more rewarding becuase of it.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that it'll have a long life. My character looks like a dog. It's a 'very slim' girl (according to the game) with short black hair (becuase they somehow managed to make all the long ones horrible, not that the short style was any picnic either). Yeah, I'm totally confused about the character customization.

Sorry. No Sims for this gal! I never understood the appeal, or why only me and about two other people don't think it's the bee's knees. Seems to be a lot of sitting watching it more than playing that goes on. A friend used to think it was soooo hilarious to download Final Fantasy character skins and making strange couplings like Tidus x Sephiroth.....

Yeah! xD She's always moaning about her own life, so maybe she thought his looked better? I think it was mainly becuase she found him sexy. Nice to see when people pick XII, I don't get all the hating on it, I think it was brilliant.

Man, is it just me or are video game demonstrators getting worse these days? I didn't see a single one playing Dark Souls sensibly. Just before ICO HD came out, I watched some dude demonstrating....it was like a nightmare, I didn't know if I should laugh or cry! xD He took literally 25 minuets to FAIL to kill the first colossus. He actually got sick of trying....this was a guy who had played it, and even reviewed it first time it was released, haha.

Sorry for doing a double on ya, but Dark Souls came!

First impressions;

The intro FMV was very pretty, but the voice-over was complete and utter dribble. That seemed a big shame when I thought back to how nicely written Demon's Souls was. Now we're lumped with utter poo.

The character customization screen is greatly inferior, that seemed odd. Maybe I just wasn't seeing some of the options?

The first area/tutorial area was kind of annoying, it was harder than I expected.

After the first area it was actually really good....I was starting to worry I'd not like the game after the really rather rough start, but no. I started to really enjoy it a lot! There was a couple of situations where you encounter several enemies at once.

There were a few in Demon's Souls, but they were usually only archers that would come in packs. You'd think with a game as mean as this it would be bad to have groups, but it's actually pretty exciting. I'd say Dark Souls is more action-heavy.

Hahaha, had a fantastic experience with one of the bosses. xD Man, I never thought a boss in this game would make me laugh since Demon's Souls bosses were no laughing matter. But the boss fight took place on a bridge, and the monster has an attack where it leaps backwards....unfortunately for him he did his 'leap backwards' move right off the bridge to his own death....xD

It was fairly cartoony looking. <3

So, yeah, to sum it up. Not-so-great start, but warms up quickly into some good fun. Hopefully it will stay fun. Will be a great game if it keeps this standard up.

Oh, my only other gripe with it so far is minor (to me at least. I don't much care unless it's so bad it makes the game unplayable), sometimes the FPS drop a bit badly.

Wow...I never actually gave Animal Crossing a chance. Kinda tempted to try it one day if it's that good. Although it sounds like you're a bit of a sucker for busywork? I guess a lot of JRPG fans are. Just don't play Atelier Rorona if you are, it's oddly addictive.

Yeah. I get the guides for the art. Don't get the FFXIII one for the art. There is none you won't already have seen. :| Instead of art they just plastered it with screenshots. Yes, the game is pretty, guys, but the art would be more interesting!

Naw, but I ordered myself an official guide when I saw there were limited edition ones, and that has maps of every item location. There is a slight error in it that made it take longer than it should. It missed off Titanium bangle from the equipment list, or something silly like that.

Ah, memories of Death spam.... :] You can know down Long Gui with summons and then pray you get them deaded before they stand up again. xD I don't remember any better than that. I think you only have to kill one (for a trophy). The Shaolong Gui require you to swap to all sentinels when they're about to cast Ultima. Still all the bad stats on again. Stack the helpful ones on yourself. Enfire, or whatever you call the fire weapons buff helps. Can't remember much more than that, sorry. ^^;

Some of them require tricks/silly stunts to beat in time-attack, that's maybe why. Aye, me done it once. I'm sure you could do at least some of them, though! The underwater one is especially easy, I did it with six minuets to spare...

Threre's a trophy for doing it so I'll have to do it again. There's a trophy for resisting being sucked into the back of the shrine for 40(?) seconds, which I somehow failed to manage. xD I'll get it next time!

There's this lass I know online, she said something about there being an ICO novel? I dunno if you'd be interested in that. She said it was supposed to be good.

I have a HDMI cable and an expensive Component cable which is actually better than my HDMI....at least at bright colours. I think I forgot to mention what kind I was on about. ^^;

I have read about them getting paid to say nice things, but not that people have lost their job over saying not-nice things! That's just terrible. :/ And the whole point of reviews is to help people decide if they want a game as well...almost puts you off ever wanting to write for big sites. It's just getting paid to lie. o_o

I'm not really into handhelds, my PSP was most welcome when I did have a job, though. The only games I got through on a handheld purely at home was Crisis Core, Dissidia, and Loco Roco. Aww....they have pointed edges? That's really bad. I hope your hands don't hurt too much. :/

I usually play with Dante, Chun-li and Akuma at the moment, but I'm never happy with my team, so that will probably change. I used to be very destructive with Dante (he is one of the better characters), but I've gotten a lot weaker with him. Might have to kick him off the team.

Do you play some Marvel, big sis? Or are maybe interested in it? Your questions seem to suggest that. I'd love to play it with you if you ever get the chance!

The Adamantoise? Yup! Sometimes takes that silly girl a while to hit with death, but it does work. Apparently putting other bad stats on it first is supposed to increase the chances. Slow/curse/deshell/deprotect/imperil. The Long Gui are immune, though. So are the Shaolong Gui.

Paa...tootie? I never heard that word for (ass?) it before! xD

I noticed something! Will help if you are ever as silly as me and go hunting. You know how the lizard map puts those lizard icons on the map? The lizards are almost always on the very tip of the icons tail. Oh, the ground seems to make lizard-protecting barriers at some angles...x3 They are kinda nippy, don't worry!

Do you have an HD TV? Man, it really looks good. And if you happen to have the choice between cables that are better for brighter colours, and cables that are better for more natural looking colours, go for the bright ones. :3 You'd think natural would better better on that game, but nooo.

Oh, and the sound seems noticeably improved on the HD version. <3 I hope you get the chance to pick it up soon, lassy!
