I felt the same about ARDBZ. I love how the series was parodied and it made me laugh, yet I wouldn't watch anything in adult Swm these days no matter how much someone begged me to. It does make me wonder, though. Am I really the clown here? ;p

I've only seen clips of it when someone decided to show me. It wasn't bad or anything, I just never bothered to check it out after that. I've watch all of the original Yu-Gi-Oh, but I've only watched part of 5Ds and the first season of Zexal. But I enjoy them all

The Nordic Gods aren't the only ones that will make an appearance, since they're not really the most powerful cards. And I'm doing it to keep things interesting. For starters, there the three Egyptian Gods (gotta have them). Then there are the Wicked Gods from the Yu-Gi-Oh R manga (which takes place after Battle City). The Sacred Beasts from the GX era, the uber-powerful Synchro monsters from the 5Ds era and the new Xyz cards from the Zexal era. And that's just a fraction of what's to come, since the TCG has released thousands of cards over the years, which in turn provides thousands of possibilities.

It's just the plot I wanted to write for the story ^^; It's the best I could come up with a year ago, as I wanted things to be a little "normal", if that makes sense. And even now, I remain a fan of the Nordic cards (my favorite archetype of the game) so revealing all three was more like me being so giddy about showing off how good they are. During the Prelude, only Odin and Thor will make an appearance while Loki will make his debut later on. As you will see later on, all three won't belong to one person. Not sure how I will go at it since Leon will get to play one of them only once, but getting there will be part of the fun as I'm still working on the character list.

Hooray ^^ Maybe you'll have a different opinion once you read it in prose (or maybe not), but based on what you've read so far, what do you think of the plot?

It would mean so much if you did. Maybe you can help me by reviewing the chapters I finish rewriting. As I've said, it may take a while and it may take some effort to rewrite one. Time's not really an issue for me, I'd just hate to keep people waiting x_x

Yup. There's so much I want to reveal, but I also have a lazy side on this project. These two sides are clashing with each other, and I'm tempted every step of the way to just leave it as it is. But I know I'll regret it if I do nothing about it so prose form it is. It may delay the progress a little and may be something I'm not really used to, but there's a first time for everything, right?

Now I'm getting all sorts of ideas in my head, including the most recent one I've had about giving each character unique powers based on their signature monsters. And seeing a lot of dialogue coming up, I would definitely need to write it in prose if I want to give it that "epic" feeling at the seldom but right opportunities. Especially the ending I have in store for it.

It would be a long project to write the Prelude in prose form, but it can be done. Looks like multitasking will have to come into play and top gear if I want to keep the whole story in one form.

I see what you mean. Basically, if there are more Duels, then script form would be the better choice. Numbers are important, but I feel like prose would be the better choice since I also want to develop the main characters in a way best suitable for prose. And if I play my cards right (pun intended) I can even make the Duels look good or even better in prose form. The downside now would be rewritting everything in prose form. But that's the choice I'm leaning to at the moment. There's so much I want to reveal for each character more than just their game plan.

I've always written in script form, though I tried to add as much detail as I can. So I guess a mixture of both? The first seven chapters were written long ago while the eighth has been finished recently, and you'll see some improvement as you go further. I'm not the best writer around but know you can help me, even just a little x_x

That would be a good idea. But it's okay to be patient too And yeah, I just read the first chapter, but I'll read more later tonight once I get time.

I feel so much better about my story now that I have made my input on my own comments section. It all came from me, but it's actually nice reading my own input on the story. Feels good.
