One piece of advice - don't take Higher Admin. Not only will it bore you to death, it's quite hard to pass for the piece of shit course it is because the rules and learning points are so pedantic. I knew a bunch of people who did it, people who were in my SG Admin class, and three of them didn't even make it to the end of the course.

I'm sure English went fine for you. It's always hard to tell.

I read your journal. My head's full of images of cultured residents of Greenock and Port Glasgow staring at the trees, muttering haikus to themselves about the beauty of the sakura. And I wish I could tell you that the quality of English and thought improves once you leave the west coast...but no. It follows you about, haha.

How are your Highers going? What ones are you taking, by the way? Maths/chemistry, and I award you Ultimate Pity Points. English, Modern Studies and French I'll give you any advice you need if you've not already sat the exams.

Don't worry about them, be sure of that. Be especially chilled for English. You'll do a lot better that way. You've got another year to resit anyway, since they won't let you do more than three Advanced Highers at once (I think).
