I passed that online course that I thought I failed. I barely did anything in that class because I forgot it was there most of the time. I'm still awesome somewhere.

Don't worry about it. A lot of people here are like that. I just pretend to live under a rock. It works well here. I missed a total drama session between a few members. I looked through the threads and found I was completely clueless. I'm glad I missed it.

The choice isn't a mistake it is how the player utilizes the system. Instead of players pointing blame at SE they should take responsibility for how they played the game. Nowadays, though, people taking responsibility for their actions is not flying. Junctioning and Gambits are not the same. The license board is the "junctioning system" of FFXII. The gambits are the AI program just like there is an AI settings in Star Ocean or Tales of games, but people don't gripe about those.

As for "restricting yourself to not use something in a game just because it's too easy is not the point of playing games" is quite an erroneous statement. There are a few gameplay challenges created for FFXII that restrict gameplay. Games may have these so to say hey people only play games the most easiest way is very wrong and plainly stupid. In Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together there is an option to go back at most 50 turns if the player chooses because they screwed up are want a different effect. It is not mandatory to use and there are some who refuse to use it because it makes the game easier.

Sh!t, I mean with your "logic" in FFX I would just spam Yuna with her overdrive filled and her aeons' overdrive filled as well which would make the game's bosses even easier. However, I chose not to because that is not how I wanted to play. See that is where you got to comprehend - choice. It is a freedom to the player to decide how they want to play the game. So just because the can does not ever mean they must.

Besides gambits put you in more control of the characters actions than mostly any other AI system. It allows the player to program how they want their characters to act, it allows them to choose if they want to use the AI, & it allows them to change the AI on the fly. See your complaint would have more merit, if say, the game decided how the gambits would be set-up but it is the player who must program the gambits beyond the starting set-up. The game is not going to put in <Againt flying enemies> <telekinesis>, the player must select that scenario and command. To say the player does not have control of the characters with gambits insults the player's intelligence who believes that because they are woefully blind to the reality of the situation.

Referring to your post about the gambits in FFXII:

Initially they weren't going to have gambits for the party leader but they took into consideration players who like to/ instances when the player would grind and therefore put in gambits for the party leader as well.

In the end it is up to the player how much they use the gambits. The game developers aren't forcing anything.

Don't be so quick to doubt. You really never know what could happen. Jobs like that are tricky. The best thing to do is stay hopeful (and possibly keep looking).
