Your Own Horror Movie

So I thought of an idea. I've been thinking a lot about horror movies as of lately. But here are my questions....

1) If you were in a horror movie, what type of horror movie would you be in? (Ex: Slasher, Psychological Thriller, etc.)

2) Typically, horror movies has the "first person to die" or the "screamer". What kind of role would you want in a horror movie? Would it be a typical one? Or would it be something unique?

3) Describe the setting of the horror movie you would be in. Would it be in a haunted house? Some bio-chemical lab? In Mexico?

4) What would the horror movie be about?

5) What kind of killer would be in the movie? Would it be a man with a chainsaw disguising himself in a mask? Or would it be some strange creature?

I'll answer my own questions in a bit. Feel free to add more details about your kind of horror movie.

Somewhat interesting topic, I was thinking about good horror movies the other day and realised that there havent been any truly unique horror films in a long time.

1) If you were in a horror movie, what type of horror movie would you be in? (Ex: Slasher, Psychological Thriller, etc.)It would be a new breed of horror, there are way to many slashers and gore/shock value flicks out now adays. Think of psycological thriller mixed with unknown horror and a lot of suspence.

2) Typically, horror movies has the "first person to die" or the "screamer". What kind of role would you want in a horror movie? Would it be a typical one? Or would it be something unique? I would want to be the unpredictable death of the hero character that pisses everyone off because he is the last to die and no one else is left.

3) Describe the setting of the horror movie you would be in. Would it be in a haunted house? Some bio-chemical lab? In Mexico? Anywhere dark, maybe the jungles surounding the suiside woods of Mt. Fugi

4) What would the horror movie be about?
Death, suiside and carnage

5) What kind of killer would be in the movie? Would it be a man with a chainsaw disguising himself in a mask? Or would it be some strange creature?by the end no one would know because you would never get to see it, it would leave it up to the veiwer to decide if it was man, ghost or beast. There would be many possibilities in this, there have been many suisides in the area, and ghosts and random creatures have been seen, murder by man has always also been a possibility.

I would say it would be a ghost hunter expidition trying to document the rumors, gone wrong.

Some form of thriller, slasher, sorta horror action movie near the end.

The hard boiled cop/detective who upon getting the case thrown in his face decides to bust in and get some answers, and partially/mostly solves the case. Probably dies in the line of duty, but only in a very flashy, stylish way. Gory is acceptable if it's really dramatic.

3) Describe the setting of the horror movie you would be in. Would it be in a haunted house? Some bio-chemical lab? In Mexico?
Somewhere in Nevada: either a rural desert town, or Vegas. Preferably the latter, as there are heavy urbans areas and casinos there. Hookers/strippers/celebrities make for good victims, and there's also lots of bright lights.

4) What would the horror movie be about?
Villain attacks small unknown town and/or heavily populated city area. Group of various do-gooders try to chase after and stop him/her. Finale consists of said villian summoning a portal to Hell and all chaos being unleashed on the town/city which turns into a battlefield of demons versus the military until group of do-gooders seal it off.

5) What kind of killer would be in the movie? Would it be a man with a chainsaw disguising himself in a mask? Or would it be some strange creature?
Serial killer/government official/satanic cultist (preferably the latter), who knows a ****ton about demonology. Kills lots of individual civilians, or pulls off a few mass murders. Some of them being sacrifices.

To give people an idea of what it would be like, I'll refer to video games and other horror movies to give you a faint feel of what it'd be like.

Most likely psychological. Nothing with suspense it, though. It'd be a fast pace type theme.

2) Typically, horror movies has the "first person to die" or the "screamer". What kind of role would you want in a horror movie? Would it be a typical one? Or would it be something unique?
I would choose one of two roles. Either main character, or an important character who has a large chunk of the story. If it were option two, I would be some sort of troubled middle aged lady, or a mute or something.

3) Describe the setting of the horror movie you would be in. Would it be in a haunted house? Some bio-chemical lab? In Mexico?
The setting might be an insane asylum, or a demented hospital. Somewhat like Silent Hill in Alchemilla (SH1) but a lot more cruel (somewhat SH5ish, but more visual). The hospital and the surrounding area would shift back and forth years to tell the story (don't know what the name of the movie similar to that might be, but I'm sure there is one.)
If not a hospital, it would be a small village (think Project Zero, but not Japanese).


4) What would the horror movie be about?
Trip into the human mind, mental illness and ending in a nice null feeling.

5) What kind of killer would be in the movie? Would it be a man with a chainsaw disguising himself in a mask? Or would it be some strange creature?

There would be a whole variety of monsters, each containing metaphors toward the story (Silent Hill again, but they would be less frequently encountered). No cheap scares, either. Think ghosts as well.

I would be the funny guy who wouldn't ever shut his mouth and would probably be one of the first to get killed off.

-It'd be strange and disturbing. Not a thriller or a slasher, really... I can't think of a great example. But something more emotional/disturbing. Think The Happening or Dark Water?

-I'd like to be a bit different. If anything, the quiet, mentally challenged but brilliant one.

-It'd be in a place you wouldn't expect a horror to happen. Somewhere sunny. Near the coast in NSW, or in California.

It would have to be a slasher, but go back to the basics of a slasher, like Halloween or Friday the 13th (1-4 of course )

I would like to be the one who is connected to the killer in some way. Maybe a family member or someone who has had their family killed by them and I am seeking revenge.

It would be a forest, but in a snowstorm. I just always thought that this would be a great setting for a horror movie.

The killer would be someone who has been insane for years, who is let out after being declared sane enough. He has driven up to a remote forested area for a fresh start, but when a group of teenagers decide to spend their Christmas break at a nearby lodge (yes, Friday the 13th/Evil Dead reference here ), the temptation is too much, and he decides to go on another killing spree.

5) What kind of killer would be in the movie? Would it be a man with a chainsaw disguising himself in a mask? Or would it be some strange creature?
He would be wearing something to cover is face, like a balclava, or a hood and neckerchief, wear a plaid coat, jeans and workboots. You know, just makeshift killing clothes.

It will also turn out that one of the teenagers is a long lost child of the killer (small world huh?), and when it comes down to it, he can't kill them.

Or would it be something unique?My character would be very unique. I wouldnt want to die so soon in teh movie id rather be the last person to die or somewhere in the middle if my char was to die. Or I would be the killer.I wouldnt mind being both Also though if I were just one of the victims I would probably play the nice one who would try to figure things out,and probably being a bit emotional. As for if I was the killer well you could probably get the idea,of course i'd be clever.

It would probably be in some rustic location,somewhere abandoned in the woods and by a lake.

Hmm ive often thought if I were to write a horror movie it'd be focusing from the killers point of view in a way. Like the way the killer sees himself and how he acts out. Of course it'd be very spooky and clever.

It deffinately would not be a strange creature. it'd be someone who would use knives or axes as weapons and they would dismember their victims or disect them,or it'd be torture kinda like in the saw movies,i would so think of some good traps. Lol.
