Ok i will say this much. It looks better than street fighter( which aint saying much) but there is no possible way it can reach the lofty heights of Mortal Kombat. I mean an unknown fighter up against the odds and just about winning storyline. Puh-lease.

Never judge movie by it's trailer, they usually end up making the movie look good, although it's seems it's not exactly the case with the Tekken movie. It looks awful but then again Tekken is just another low budget movie and I never really had high expectations in the first place, just like with any other movie based on game or anime. I'll give it a shoot, it can't be worse than Dragonball and Street Fighter, who knows it might even surprise me in a pleasant way, although highly doubtful.

Actually, I would think that a Tekken movie would have the potential to turn out really well if it followed the storyline from the games and made some nice agreeable canon ending to it. The game has a good amount of storyline in itself for it to turn out well, but if some film director decided to make it with low budget/cheap acting/bad special effects/etc, then it could be pretty discouraging to see.
And nothing could be worse then that Dragonball live movie, lol.

The only reason I think people would go to see this movie is for the intense action-scenes, and/or thier devotion to the franchise. In my experience, fighting games have been mostly about...well...fighting, and story was just a bonus. So movies about fighting games to me would be about the action, leaving the story to suffer by being incredibly cliché or cheesy.
I don't plan to go see it, but whoever does I hope they at least get some sort of entertainment from it.

is it me or does this trailer almost look fake? im not saying or implying that it is, but the quality of the film looks horrible.
having said that im sure it couldnt be as bad as the up and coming shadow of the collosus movie being written by the same person who wrote the new street fighter movie.

If this has that robot tree thing from Tekken 3, this could easily be Movie of the Year for 2010. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem likely.
It looks lame, the plot seems contrived, the dialog in the trailer is God awful, and I foresee that a lot of shitty metal will grace the musical score. Not to mention it's directed by Dwight Little, who's brought us such gems as Halloween 4, Free Willy 2, and Anacondas: Hunt for the Blood Orchid. Prepare to be disappointed, Tekken fans.
Let's go into the "archives" in "Washington D.C." and find out how people "masturbated" in the "roaring 20's."

Doesn't look very good, but then again I have been fooled by a shitty trailer more than once. A Tekken movie definitely has potential to be movie of the year, but by the looks of things it doesn't seem like that will happen any time soon.
I'll be honest, after watching that, I well looking foward to it. Yoshimitsu and Raven look awesome!
