Ruining a Cult Classic, a Daro sequal..

Ok I just caught wind of this straight to DVD gem and was curious as to if anyone had seen the actual film. The trailer looks alright but I think the movie buffs in Hollywood should of left Darko where it was and not attempted a sequal.

So here it is in its full length trailer form
    IMDb Video: S. Darko

What the **** is a Frank want to be doing in this?????

What are your thoughts???? Has anyone already seen this?

::edit sorry I just noticed this, if any one that can fix the threads name to "darko" would do just that it would be greatly appriciated, sorry I am a little on the drunk side..

I'm really not looking foward to seeing this, because I know that I am going to think it sucks. However, the trailer makes it look ok. I'll just wait and see.

I absolutely loved Donnie Darko, one of my favourites ever. Hopefully, they have made this one up to that standard.

Although I didn't really like Donnie Darko, I can't see the need for a sequel. It finished well and left something for the imagination- how a film should be. Its a pain when people want to jump onto the cash cow and decide to make an unnecessary sequel.

I thought the trailer looked ok too, but from many previous experiences, you cannot tell whether a film is going to be any good or not from a trailer. I've been dissappointed many-a-time.

This movie never happened. I am refusing it's existence and I will leave it at that.

Donnie Darko was great, but it doesn't need a sequel. There's nothing to even resolve.

I wonder if I can escape the forum in time after saying that the first Donnie Darko was awful, existential nonsense. I guess we will find out.

I'm actually about to watch this...

I saw Donnie Darko for the first time maybe 3 weeks ago, and I honestly didn't see why it was so awfully hyped by so many people. It was a decent watch, at the very least.

My friend has a copy of S. Darko around here somewhere, if I can locate it I planned on watching it tonight whilst I housesit.
