I like the story but it just wasn't played out well enough. Not only that but I dislike Keanu Reeves. I think I only had one good moment in that movie and thats when he gets eaten by the mirror thingy or w/e.

I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. I thought it was a good movie. Its popularity led to a couple sequals and as usuall they made them just for money. They simply just threw together some crap and sold it for money nothing else.
Omnislash = 15 hits, 15 X 9999 = 149985
Lion Heart Including Renzokuken = 27 hits, 27 X 9999 = 269973
Lion Heart WITHOUT Renzokuken = 17 hits, 17 X 9999 = 169983Lionheart is better then Omni-Slash. PERIOD.
The first Matrix is in my top five all time favourite films. This list changes frm time to time with new films or the re-discovery of old. However I do believe the Matrix has been up there since it came out.
The sequels are good, but not a patch on the first.
...and those who are prideful and refuse to bow down shall be laid low and made unto dust.
The Brotherhood of Doom: Destroying the Weak since 11-11-2004
In a general opinion here the first Matrix movie was the best cinematically in terms of originality, script and directorship.
However, on a more personal opinion I prefer the second Matrix film. It was more interesting and the fight scenes were just so much better to watch.
Plus the french girl (Persephone) was hot as hell...so kinda counts for alot.

Enlighten Me
The second one was the one I didn't like much.It doesn't show much emotion and thrill that I expected it to be.The storyline was a little bit confusing but I guess it's okay.
From all those three,I chose Revolutions. It shows the true whole story ending it with a bang. The war..the action...the blood(i didn't see it much) and the bullets flying everywhere !! wee~~~

I really liked the first matrix, but I had to watch it twice in order to understand it completey. (Hey I was only young lol)
I liked the Last one too Matrix - Revolution, but wasnt so keen on the Matrix Reloaded, it seemed boring lol
The first was good, the second was...good, but I liked the third best, don't know why, but it was awesome. Trinity finally got killed, and Neo became blinder than a bat! Ha! But seriously, it was good all together, just confusing around the juncture points.
Strayed from the pack, the wolf howls to the moon forever more, never to leave her sight
The only thing the Matrix moves proved to me was that it was possible to make a Live Action DBZ movie because of all the fight scenes and flying and fast-paced stuff. Yeah.
But I'd rather not see a Live Action DBZ movie though. It wouldn't do the series justice.
I liked the second Matrix out of the real ones because of the Ghost twin guys. They were really cool. And that fight with all the weapons on the walls... wow.
But you left one out. The Animatrix. The animated one was awsome, even though it wasnt one story.
...The Animatrix doesn't count, dude. It's anime. It's totally unrelated. Not even made by the same people.
And would you please stop one-lining all over the place? I noticed your posts are always short. We encourage full-thought posts. ^^
Tru! Yeah Reloaded was my favorite. The first one is awesome cuz well it just made sweet love to my brain, but I really enjoyed all the action in the second one. The third one I really didn't like cuz most of it was in the real world talkin bout savin Zion and whatever. I didn't really care about that, I wanted to watch Neo fly around and beat sh*t up. I mean he did, but not near enough in my opinion.Originally Posted by Lucifer`

Out of all of the matrix films my favorite would have to be reloaded since it has the best fight scenes in it. The bit were he is beating up all of the agent smith's int he middle of that park is just so awesome, you can't beat something like that. Also the fight in the chateau with all of those bodyguards is another amazing scene. I would have to say The matrix is second best and revolution being the worst. I didn't like revolution since it seemed confusing.

im not too sure which my favorite was i liked them all but wud probly say the second because of the good fight scenes but the first was good for that too. i think the 3rd was my least favorite though because there were not many fight scenes and it was mostly foucsed outside the matrix.
>.<
I only saw Reloaded and the original.
I never bothered to touch the third.
The first pretty much wins by far for the reasons Nin` stated.
The sequels were executed the same way the Pirates of the Carribean movies are:
Make a movie. It becomes a cult classic.
Then make two more that share the same plot when the first one made a fitting ending.
Remember kids, internet debates are just like the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

I liked them all, but haven't been able to see the animatrix yet, it looks awesome. Heck, I even own the Path Of Neo game for PS2.
The movies had a lot of action, my favorite was the battle against the whole crapload of smiths in Reloaded. Some of the things in Reloaded were hard to understand at first, but I finally got it. The game has a lot of stuff they missed out or extra stuff in it (but the frenchman mansion gets really weird) and stuff like more training stuff. Anyways, the series was great, it ended with a bang, and I loved it.
(by the way, the game has an alternate ending where you fight a giant smith made up of all of them o_O)
"hot as hell"...how cute!Originally Posted by Nin`
Anyway, I agree that the first rules the roost conceptually. However, the last was my favorite as it concluded all of the entire series in a perfect manner.
this is a touph one. i agree with everything that nin' says about the second one, but there were some good parts in the third one also. for example the train man part, where neo runs through one side and reappears on the other was awesome. And the music in the third was some of the best in the entire trilogy, especially during the credits and fight between neo and smith. and the french woman is in the third movie also, so i'd say that the third has my vote

MY ANIMES THAT I OWN.....
I definitely prefer the first film! In fact, I'm sort of sorry that the sequels were made, since IMO it would stand as a perfect piece of work in itself without Reloaded/Revolutions. Having said that, I do think the best action scenes occur in Reloaded, but then again, that's not what makes or breaks a film for me. Revolutions had some horrible stuff, IMO, although I do not thinks it's as bad as some people make it out to be. Still, it remains my least favorite film in the trilogy.
Snegle spiser kiks!
I really only like the first one. The animated one was a little hard to take, and in the second one the chick got really weird looking. It was hard to watch the sex scene trust me. I like the very first one. The set up, the bunny ^^, It was kinda cool. Everything was new to Neo an the whole pill thing kinda made you think.
i loved the movie lots of action but i didnt really like the first lol...
In a legit sense the first Matrix was the best it had a theme and it carried across with it. Reloaded was good, yet after seeing it a couple times you get the point. Revolutions I thought was reeeeaaally bad to say the least. Well everything with Neo I liked along with the way it ended, but 2 hours of a fight in Zion wasn't a good idea.
I loved the second one, it was full of action and loads of fun to watch. I also liked the first movie. I have all three on DVD yet I still haven't watched the last film. I have heard that it's good and bad so I'll have to give it a watch sometime. If I had to pick one, I would probably choose the first as well.
I agree with Cheesevixen about the second film too. I loved the action scenes though, very cool. The first film made the most sense to me lol. The whole thing is confusing to me but oh well. My Brother is a big fan of the Matrix too. He saw all of them in cinemas I think.
Hmmm i love these movies, even though the last one confused the shit out of me, but im gonna have to say that first one was the best, and some was shot here in aus! woooo
The first one is the best even though the second had the best fight in it.
I really liked the first one. I didn't know it was based off of a book before, so I thought the sequels were really lame. But now that I know, I still think they're lame. I just couldn't stand all the constant make-out scenes between Trinity and Neo, also .. Keanu Reeve's acting was a little sadly done, imo. The first was really good, though.
All three films rocked. 'Nuff said.
