So, the first book of the Terry Goodkind series, "Sword of Truth", Wizard's First Rule; is going to be made into a television series spanning 22 episodes and will premier on the 1st of November.

Who else is excited to see this show? I can hardly wait to see it. I'm almost halfway through the book myself, and this just gives me more incentive to finish reading it before it premiers.

I am quite excited, though i know it will be much different from the books. I started reading the books just about at Naked Empire was coming out, so i got to naked empire pretty quickly, then had to wait so long for Chainfire, Phantom, and Confessor. I finished reading Confessor about a year ago, and the series is AMAZING. No other word for it.

I've read the series years ago but started them over again after I watched the second episode cause i found it by accident so far it's really good though.

I found out that Goodkind had no input on what is going on with the show which is why it became so mutilated. Like: Kahlan not the mother confessor; there are other confessors; Richard does not remember the Book of Counted Shadows as a child; George Cypher is alive; Zed is not as close of a friend. I never watched the show, but I don't think I would want to anyway the reason being that I loved the books series, what happened in the books I liked, and when it is transferred to another medium it should be kept as it was for that is what made it popular/well-liked. I don't care about some person's fan-fiction on it. I've been dissapointed on how the show turned out, at first I was damn excited.

Now I hope that they don't screw up the Wheel of Time movies.

SPOILER!!:

Zed isn't his grandfather.
The three of them went to the other side of the barrier as opposed to just Kahlan and Richard.
The barrier got destroyed.
They skipped a LOT of character development.
Chase wasn't a bald guy, nor as big as Goldberg. >_>
Richard was scrawny as opposed to a build akin to Kevin Nash or Dwayne Johnson.
Kahlan told Richard she was a Confessor, as opposed to keeping the secret throughout 90% of the series. >_>
George Cypher is his real father as opposed to Darken Rahl.
Darken Rahl doesn't look like Lucius from Fire Emblem 7.
Not to mention with the first episode 2 hour special, it went through HALF of the Wizard's First Rule.

I've been watching this with my guy and I really like it! He's read the entire series of books, I haven't.

So parts of it for him are frustrating as it is "loosely" based on the novels. I however love it!

I enjoy this show, me and my girlfriend sits down and watches it all the time. She is addicted to it but me I could live without it. In my opinion the acting is kind of bad but it is a decent show...6/10
