I love Peter. Everything he does is random and immature, I find that that's what makes most of the show funny. I like Stewie and Bryan too, but I don't always laugh at their jokes.

Hell yes. I loved Adam West in the old Batman series and he's so senile and awesome in Family Guy.
Stewie is definitely my biggest favorite, he's just so evil and diabolical. I'd so love to have him as a younger brother <.< As cheap as Peter's character is, he's still hilarious, so he comes in second. I like Brian alot too, but only when he's paired with Stewie. By himself he's just a boring, talking dog.

I think I would have to say that I like Peter the best, he's so random and funny. He's just a great character in my opinion. I don't laugh at the others as much as him! Stewie is pretty cool too, he's a baby with a football shaped head and English accent, that's pretty darn cool to me. Brian is a good character as well.
They are all awesome in their own unique ways really. Peter is my favorite though by far.

I was basically trying to point out that Homer seems to be more bound by how a dumbed down drunk male should be, while Peter is over the top.
But that's what makes Family Guy so funny...

I like Chris. He's just so dim its silly, and how he gets up to the usual early-teenage stuff. Peter is really funny for the same reasons, and theres that laugh. If I met anyone who laughed like Peter Griffin they'd probably become my best friend in notime!
I love Stewie though. A mad evil baby genious, what isn't there to love? Stewie's character is hillarious since hes so rude, crude and violent. How he talks is really funny, and not just because its an Americanised English accent (which I find funny anyway, I know very few if any people who speak the way American cartoons say we do), but how he delivers the words.

Stewie! Stewie's my favorite. I love how the family ignores the things Stewie's doing or saying, like if he bad mouths Lois and she says, "Well, no dessert for you tonight Mister," or the time Stewie sarcastically suggests to Peter, "Well why don't we just light up a dubie and watch porn," and Peter says, "Ya?" Then Stewie and Brian together equal ultimate laughter; it's hilarious cuz those are the times Stewie is most sexually ambiguous. lol. You just know one day Stewie's gonna admit he's gay.
Peter would come second with his comedy, farts, and childish laughter. ^_^ I also love how Meg is the butt of everything. *thinks of the episode, Petergeist* *laughs like Peter*
I love Quagmire, Stewie, Brian, Chris, Meg, and Peter. Peter's immaturity, Stewie evilness, Quagmire's perviness. Meg being the brunt of all the jokes. and Chris being stupid. Brian is sensible, but he got to play Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give you Up in one epi, and I love that song.
Though I saw this pic the other day that made me laugh so Hard.

I'd have to say Peter is my favorite character. Me and my friends can sometimes relate to all the goofy stuff that happens in Family Guy and some of the stuff Peter does. Sometimes we use random Family Guy quotes in everyday situations. I also think Old Man Herbert aka the creepy old guy that like Chris and little boys is hilarious.

I am going to have to go with Peter and stewie. I can't just choose one. They by far the funniest characters on Family Guy. Stewie is just the man. Also, I love it when Peter will be in the middle of something and then BAM!!! He gets into a brawl with the chicken. That is so funny crap. I will laugh through the whole part.

My friends, when talking about Family Guy, will usually compare me to Quagmire and Herbert the Pedophile, so I guess those two are some of my favorites, along with Ollie Williams, Mayor West, Peter, and the Evil Monkey in my Closet.
Herbert the Pedophile is my favorite, though.

I forget which episode Stewie mentioned this... but secondary characters and Brian are the only ones who can hear Stewie actually talk. It's all just baby talk and funny sounds for Peter , Meg , Lois and Chris..although they were a few episodes that are exceptions - like when they had the Panic Room parody. Stewie said something about the Godfather and Lois acknowledged it.
As for my fave character, Peter and Stewie. The combo of Brian and Stewie is awesome too.
