Conan O'brien Vs. Jay Leno Vs. NBC

In case none of you have been following, in recent weeks, NBC has decided to push back Jay Leno's comedy show-which has been starting at 10 PM, I believe-to after the 11 o'clock news, and run for a half hour before The Tonight Show with Conan O'brien, pushing that show back to 12:05 AM. I believe that neither Conan nor Leno are happy with this, and in a statement made two days ago, Conan said that he would not host a Tonight Show that started after Midnight. Check it.

So what are people's opinions on this? Personally, I love me some Conan. If I still lived with my parents, I'd probably watch him every night. And I've never thought that Jay Leno was particularly funny at all; given the choice, I'd watch Letterman over him. I think Conan's decision is a reasonable one; he was promised something by his bosses 6 years ago, and now they're taking it back. That's a buncha BS! Anyhoo...

EDIT: Just saw this. That sucks... I remember waiting years for the change, and now it's going back to the way it was before. What's gonna happen to Conan, then?

It looks to be a tight situation with Conan. I know he loves doing the show and his fans adore him. He'd probably still commit to it, even though I'm not aware of what his bosses promised him. But, as I would say for Conan, save the last for last. Jay Leno isn't funny at all. I think Ferguson is way more funny than him, but not funnier than Conan. But, if he does finalize his decision to not shoot the show, then I can't blame him. I would more than likely do the same if I were in his shoes because he deserves better. He's the one that made me like the fact of staying on the weekdays. His style is superb.

I've never really been a Leno fan. Jaywalking was alright, but the rest of it was pretty boring. Conan's always been hilarious to me, but I'm kind of upset at how his show seemed to change ever since he moved over to LA. It seems to have lost something, or maybe he's just trying too hard. Maybe I'm just pissed that I never got to see him live in NY? Something just feels amiss with it, but it's still good.

All in all, I think that Conan is one of the best late night hosts. Letterman takes the cake, mostly because of how ridiculous he is. Craig Fergusson is right after Conan though.

Anyone young enough to post here should prefer Conan. Jay Leno is for old people.

It sucks to see Conan get screwed. Hopefully he will go to FOX and develop a following. I don't see how he, Letterman, and Leno can be on at the same time without cannibalizing ratings, but something should develop. He is too talented to disappear.

I too prefered Conan over Leno any night and I never found Letterman that good either. Now Conan had great ratings and a great fanbase before he hosted The Tonight Show so what happened? Did the writers for Late Night not go with him to The Tonight Show? Is he trying to hard ( I haven't watched him because I have work at 5 am so I can't stay up that late)? What went wrong?

I've found Conan more funny, Leno just to me always seemed like he was trying to hard to make a laugh.
I don't watch any of their shows though, last Conan show I watched was the first episode of the change.

I watched like the first couple episodes when the change occurred, but after that, I saw maybe a couple. *has no cable at his house* Also, I've heard and read lots of people saying that they loved Leno, and thought Conan was terrible. Which my mind can't comprehend. Do lots of old people use the internet now, or something?

This week, however, I asked my bro to DVR every episode; it will be Conan's last week as the Tonight Show host, so he is allegedly "pulling all the stops." Anyhoo...

Conan is much better. Whenever I watched Leno which hasn't been in years he just tries real hard and the few episodes I saw he recycled a couple jokes. And when Conan's jokes tank he points it out and makes light of it as for Leno he just presses it until I feel compelled to change the channel on a car enthusiast who got lucky making an ass of himself.

Yeah, Conan's funnier. Jay Leno just wants to see Conan out of a job.

I like conan. He makes jokes about his own jokes and makes fun of people in the studio and says "I love you too man" whenever someone "Mostly male" says "I love you conan!" He seems more down to earth to me and even makes fun of himself. Like he is just having a good time. I watched his show with my parents last year. I don't get "all" the jokes but I have giggles. =^.^=

Did anyone see the David Letterman ad during the Superbowl? Apparently, Leno is so pissed he's making appearances in commercials for the David Letterman show.

I like Conan, Leno is a douche, and Letterman is just old.

Who the **** gave shows to Carson Daily and Jimmy Fallon? Terrible.

I think I'd enjoy watching a tonight show with Daniel Tosh. Anyone got a person they'd like to watch on a tonight show, that probably won't ever do the job?

I think Craig Fergusson (sig?) is one of the funniest people I have ever seen. I see his shows on youtube because we can't find the channel he is on.

Isn't Craig Fergusson the guy on after Letterman? I've never actually watched him, because he used to be on opposite of Conan. I'd probably watch his show now, though. Given the choice between him and Fallon...

Yeah, what the fuck? I've never thought Fallon was funny, especially during his days on SNL. He'd always start laughing in the middle of a skit, or his characters he played were lame. ...Except the Celebrity Jeopardy where he played Robin Williams. That was pretty awesome. Particularly the bit where he stabbed his pen through his own hand. I've heard his Late Night show is pretty terrible, too.

Mike: Yeah, that was kinda weird. They will be competing again, soon... Anyhoo...
