Which Comic Book Movie has been the Best so Far?

Whooops I meant the Worst so Far!!!

There have been a ton of comic films since the start of this Century, when Films really started getting good. Some of have been outstanding, others were nearly embarrasing. But which film do you think was the absolute worst of these?

I'm not counting the Cheesy 80's films!!

Now for me, I hated Daredevil. It was a pathetic, woefully acted and just uninspiring. I also had that lazy, "why am I still sitting on the couch" feeling while watch the entire Blade series. I didn't include those, but as aweful as even Elektra and Catwoman were, there was one film that was absolutely unwatchable. Believe it or not I can still laugh a little at Batman & Robin, but good god, the sequel to the Punisher was disgustingly bad. I couldn't watch it. 5 Minutes at a time and mind would gloss over with pure boredom, it was so bad. I seriously couldn't take a moment of it, and you know it's that bad, because I will go on parade telling you how bad Daredevil was. I F-ing hated that film, and would have sold a kidney to vote for it here, but the Punisher was so god damn bad I could help it.

But Sunny Day, it's great to be alive, what do you think? :-)

Definitely Batman and Robin, the movie sucked big time. Joel totally ruined Batman with this one, punting Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze and Clooney as Batman was the worst possible combination mainly because neither one of them fits the role. And adding Batgirl alongside Batman and Robin was an epic failure, this was not just one of the worst Comic Book Movies for me it was one of the worst movies that I've seen.

Unlike many I (for some strange reason) liked Daredevil, although the story could have been better the actors were decent, actually some of them were perfect for their roles, for instance Michael Clarke Duncan nailed the role of Kingpin. Music was the best part of this movie mainly because my favorite band preforms most of the music for Daredevil and needless to say that the soundtrack was brilliant.

Punisher War Zone disappointed me in so many ways but in all honesty it wasn't anything worse than the last two, if anything Ray Stevenson did a better job acting as Franck Castle than Thomas Jane and... dammit can't remember his name...never mind. The only thing that I like from the entire Punisher franchise was the soundtrack that Seather made, nothing more.

I feel a bit biased in my choice, because I've only ever seen Batman and Robin. I've most definately heard of the others, and heard how terrible they were, so I steered clear of watching them.

However, even if I had seen those movies, I probably still would have picked Batman and Robin, because there's only so many lame ice puns one movie should be allowed to have.

Just for the record, I thought Batman Forever was worse than Batman and Robin. Sure Batman and Robin was lame, and had an overabundance of bad jokes and a blizzard's worth of ice puns (see what I did there?), but at least it's somewhat held back. Watching Jim Carrey, on the other hand, ham his way through every scene that he's in as The Riddler is just painful. There. I've said my peace.

As for the question at hand: I saw Catwoman.

Is this thread limited to the poll only or can we vote on other titles such as Steel and other mid to late 90s horrbile adaptions. I want some clarification before I give my official responce to this question.

Let it be known as of right now my vote goes to Batman and Robin. I truely was horrible. Haven't seen the Punisher sequal yet. If it is that bad I will have to watch it.

I was not a big fan of Punisher War Zone it disappointed, other than that I felt DareDevil was an all around horrible film and that it was a waste of time to watch...

@ Meier - It's more or less limited to the poll. I intentionally left out the really really obviously mid-90's crapathons like Steel. Clearly that's just terrible. Even something like Spidey 3, or X3 I don't nearly put in the same category as the ones I have listed, so yeah, just stick with the poll. If you have a suggestion about one I may have left out, then please share however.

@ Xanatos - I found your Daredevil comments interesting, mostly on the music front. I agree that I like the music but only for the music. I think using rock music in movies is the surest indicator that your movie probably sucks. Just honestly there aren't a lot of "great" films with a heavy metal soundtrack. They use orchestra, other instrumentals, or classics. Why? Because it's classy and professional. Anybody could pick rock band tracks and that's kind of the vibe the entire Daredevil film puts off. Anybody could have done that. It's lackluster.

@ Kisuke - Ha! You should go watch the making of segment of Punisher: War Zone. It's seriously funny. There's this producer on there who was in charge of sets, and she goes on and on about how she made sure the colors were right in each scene, and then went above and beyond in making sure each seen was focused on a color that fit the mood of the scene. I was just watching the whole commentary thinking to myself how much she looked like she was just going through the motions in an attempt to act like somebody who knew what they were doing. It's just funny that she spent so much time explaining how they were focused on all the colors when the entire movie was a big pile of shit. I don't care if shit is brown, purple, or pink. It's still shit. It was like trying to watch somebody who everybody knows isn't really good at their job, try to pretend like they are good at their job. What a ninny.
