after seeing clover filed, i was complety sick, lol, one of the sickist movies i'v ever seen, and the camra movent is eye burning, lol, to much movment, the chars are funny, but the monsters are CRAZY!!!!!!!!!there's more then one, about 4-5, maby more, you dont see them all, lol, the end was sick, the blood and what not, lol, pretty scary, but sad, lol, i thought it was a relly good movie, im just woundering what other people think of the movie, lol
i give it 10/10, best end of the world movie iv ever seen, lol

I thought it was alright. They could have explained the monster better. Like where did it come from, outer space, the ocean, the ground, government conspiriacy. Like who knows?. I really would like to know that. It didn't just appear out of thin air.

The moving didn't bother me. It wasn't too bad. I felt for some of the characters but some of the things they did were a bit stupid. I understand he went to Elizabeth because he loved her but he risked so many lives doing it. I also don't understand how those two could run with injuries that bad.

I also didn't like the ending. It was cheap and left me a bit.. sad. I wanted them to live, I didn't want it to end like that. They should have run.

Wikipedia says that the mster was dormant in the ocean for thousand of years, but when a satellite crashed it woke the monster up.

Ugh, jesus. I have a lot to say, so hold on.

First of all, the movie is called CLOVERFIELD! ONE word, and not "filed" it's "field".

Secondly, we already have a thread for this labeled "1-18-08 Cloverfield" or something of the like.

Third; PLEASE Moonstone, before you start telling people how many monsters there were, and sad endings, or anything- put it in spoilers or at least warn people what they are about to read is a spioler, the movie is still fairly new and not everyone has seen it yet.

Fourth:

Spoiler: There was ONE main monster, the large beast that roamed the city, tearing everything apart; then there were the smaller "spider" monsters that fell from it, roughly the size of a large dog or a small person.

And Wikipedia is not always accurate, nobody trully knows where the monster came from, there's only speculation.

Also! To those who are annoyed about the monster not being explained to you, it's not suppose to be full-known where it comes from. This is a realistic film showing what a group of people would experience IF a monster did attack. There aren't scientists in white coats roaming the city explaining to everyone that the monster is a mutated lizard from northern Africa.

It makes the movie 100x better not knowing where it comes from and why it's attacking. Suppose a huge monster attacked your neigborhood this evening, would YOU know where it came from or would you even be able to find out, within the first seven hours of it's attack? No. It's just ridiculous wanting to know that.

I for one loved this film for what it was, it's awesometacular.

Also:

Spoiler: As for the satalite hitting the ocean, in the last scene of the film when Rob and Beth or on a ferris wheel, you see something fall from the sky and crash into the ocean. [It's on the right side of ocean] it's very hard to see, but it's there. Some believe it's a satalite, some say it's the monster falling into the ocean. I believe a satalite woke him up, but there's no proof of that, sadly.

The anonymity of the monster was the whole point of the movie. It was POV. So no explanation til the sequel. (please let that be the case)

Yah that was well put MOMO.Anyway i just saw this movie like 2 hours ago and am still thinking in a dark state.I loved this movie because ive seen almost every movie like it and there beat.Truthfully im a big godzilla/gamera fan so i was waiting one them to come and kick its a** or at least a few dbz characters.So i would give it 10/10 as well.
