Correct me on this if I'm wrong (which I'm not) but this series is pure brilliance. It's really entertaining and (so I'm told) actually very historically accurate, including the uniforms. I especially like that they have the real people the characters are based on to introduce episodes.
I was hooked on this as soon as my friend put it on. I admit I was a tad apprehensive at first about the whole thing. I thought it was going to be the typical bull-crap WWII abortion that the world usually spews out. Films like Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor are prime examples of these. I was very, very surprised by how brilliant it was. I wasn't impressed by the stupidly camp British commandos, though. We don't all sound like we're in the royal family and dine purely on tea and crumpets.
On the whole this drama delivered in most areas. The visuals were great, the sound was realistic enough for me to be captivated. Even the most annoying characters were strangely like-able. The whole thing made me feel the friendship between the men. The only actor I wasn't sure about was David Schwimmer. This was purely because every time he came on my head would go "tee hee, it's Ross from Friends!"
Anywho. Did anybody watch this?
I'm watching the Pacific son so please don't ruin that for me.
Hyz.
