Windows 8 Consumer Preview

In case you don't know, the Windows 8 Preview is now available from Microsft. I thought for sure it was going to suck. A mobile phone GUI on a desktop O/S?

However, after an hour of playing around, I can say this: the non-Metro mode is definitely more useful for administrative tasks (audit/event logger, user account config, network config), but for the basic stuff (web browsing, media, email), Metro is the shiznizzle!

Microsoft have done it again. They will forever be the lord of the O/S. I had to erase Ubuntu 11 in order to install Win 8, but I'm not having any regrets!
