Transferring stuff from old to new comp (iTunes)

I have come into a bit of money recently (overtime at work!) and have decided that the next step is to buy a new computer since the one I have now is not turning on straight away. It does not connect with the monitor or keyboard straight away, and I have to leave it for at least five minutes (depending on how cold the room is!). My friends' old computers seem to be doing the same thing; I think it is the hard drive on its last legs.

I have picked one, and intend to buy it next Saturday (or the following Saturday). However I have a bunch of stuff, mainly iTunes stuff, that I would like to transfer to the new system. Also, I have just installed a new printer on my current PC (perhaps I should have left it, but my boyfriend kinda needs it to print off stuff for job searches). Will I be able to install the driver on the new computer as well, considering I have already used it on one computer?

My current OS is XP Home, and I have made sure the new computer I'm getting is XP as well (Vista is the work of Satan himself!)

If someone could let me know how to transfer files from one computer to the other, that would be great. Lastly, if anyone knows why my old computer is doing what it's doing, just out of curiosity...?

    Thanks in advance

Burn DVDs/CDs of all the MP3s. (Or if you have a big enough USB Flash Drive...)
Yes, you can install the printer on a different computer...

For anything purchased directly through iTunes, you'll notice that you can't burn those as MP3 files, due to their copy-protection. Copy those files as they are onto your preferred form of data device. When you get your new computer set up, you can install iTunes and log in with your current iTunes account information. In the program's preferences, you can authorize the new computer to access, play, and redownload anything you had purchased directly through the old system's iTunes.

iTunes allows you to have up to five authorized computers at once. If you'd like, you can then de-authorize your old system after setting up the new one.
