Firstly, if you're still in warrenty, that's probably your safest bet.

I've heard a few of the newer PSP-3000 PSPs can sometimes be fixed by removing the battery for 30 seconds, but I'm not sure if that's anything more than rumours. And it's not recommended, but some have had success with cleaning the disc lens or blowing dust out of the system.

Unfortunately, it's not an uncommon error for PSPs.

Ok so here is the accual problem.

It says: The game could not be started. (80210001)

I have no idea what that means.

The only solution I could find for that error was reformatting memory stick and for downloadable games making sure your PSP is registered to your Playstation store account. Although I believe these fixes were from an older update from 2007, so your problem might be something else entirely.

I'd advise you to just get a miniusb cable and buy an application cd from your local gaming store. You can backup and restore those files to your PSP memory stick in case of things like this. Just backup, reformat, readd.

    STOP THE WORLD!

Are you saying that I can re-put all the stuf on my memory stick and it will work like new agian?

I thought the whole problem was in the memory itself...

One more thing, the nearest local gaming store is like 2 and half hour drive from my house and we have 7 inches of snow so it aint happening.....but I can put the memory on my computer.

Yeah, basically you just need a program to do that (cheaper versions are VERY cheap from game shops, there is a proper Sony one if you like that kind of thing) and a miniusb cable.

Alternatively, some items can be copied to your PC and then put back into the right folders after the reformat. Some items however don't seem to work after doing it manually.

Which things are you talking about when you say that some stuf dosent seem to work?

Beacuse I have already formatted the memory stick and copied the save game files back to my memory card and it seems to work.

I had some game demos and a few other files which gave me an error. Just meant I had to redownload in a few cases really. Small annoyance.
