    Firefox Addons

I was just wondering what addons people had cause i could use with some good ones.

    I have

Downloadhelper - good for grabbing random embedded files
Faviconizetab - good for lots of tabs (or don't want anyone to know what your on, lol)
Media Converter - Very quick for downloading instantly converting you tube videos and other video sites
Adblock Plus - Gets rid of ads
Download status bar - very very good for organisation
splash - adds a splash screen* at the opening of firefox
Undo closed tabs button - title says al

*a splash screen is the loading screen before a application starts up

so what do you have then?

Let's see, just now I have:

DownloadHelper 3.2 - Used mainly for downloading YouTube vids etc.

Colorful Tabs 3.2 - Helps me distinguish which sites are which by putting the tabs in different colours

    AdBlock Plus 0.7.5.5 - Blocks ads... self-explanatory

AVG Safe Search 8.0 - When using Google, it tells me which sites are safe for browsing

Flagfox 3.2.7 - Displays the location of a websites server through a small flag in the bottom right corner

GooglePreview 3.11 - Shows a small thumbnail preview of a website's home page when using Google Search and Yahoo! Search

Splash 2.0.0.2 - Shows the splash screen at the beginning of the program

    Banners and Stuff:

    ˙uɐɔ I ʍouʞ I <- uɐɔ I ssǝnƃ I¿sıɥʇ op I uɐƆ

Lived by the rules you that you gave me and fell apart. All the wrong turns down a dead end street so far. I stretched my wings and breath in different day. Alone and broken is the price I pay but that's ok...

    Well, I have:

    • AdBlock Plus 0.7.5.5 - Blocks ads.

    • Flagfox 3.2.7 - Displays the location of a websites server.

    • URL Fixer: Fixes common misspellings in URLs entered in the address bar.

    • Download Statusbar: Allows me to view and manage downloads from a small statusbar.

    • Fast Video Download: Great extension to download files from YouTube.

ImageShack right-click was a great extension but sadly, it's not compatible with Firefox 3.0 yet.

I have Imagebot which works the same way and it's 3.0 compatible.

Thanks for making this topic, I had no idea about some of these addons you guys mentioned.

    I have:

Stylish: Allows you to tweak every little detail in Firefox's interface to your liking.

Greasemonkey: Same thing as Stylish, except it allows you to tweak every detail in any website and how they're viewed in your browser.

Tab Mix Plus: Lots of great features, currently incompatible with 3.0

    Adblock Plus

BBcodeXtra: Adds Autoformatting options to the Right Click menu. Includes BBCode, VBulletin Code, and HTML.

Chatzilla: I really don't use it, but it's a built in IRC client

    ColorfulTabs

    Download Statusbar

FEBE: A Backup utility for all you settings, cookies, extensions. Useful if you want to copy all your settings to another computer. Currently incompatible though.

FoxClocks: Shows an Icon in the lower left of the screen shows the time in other cities/countries. You can list as many as you want. I have Tokyo, Auckland, and London listed so that if some Anime/Gaming event is going on I have an idea of what time it is over there. For Auckland, I'll know the time for when I call my Mom.

Foxmarks: This was useful when I had my laptop and desktop. If you use two different computers regularly, this plugin gives you a userid, it then synchronizes your bookmarks via a web server so that no matter what computer you add bookmarks too, your other/s will stay synched.

Foxytunes: A special mini-toolbar that allows you to control your Media Player of choice without having the need to switch. Recent versions now change MP3 links to clickable buttons.

    Google Preview

IE View: Opens the current page in Internet Explorer, good for those pesky pages that just don't want to work right in Firefox.

Imagebot, mentioned at the top. An Image uploader that keeps track of all your uploads, you can also upload multiple images, as well as with a right click.

Orbit: My integrated video downloader, download manager.

Personas: Remember Hotbar? It was an adware infested addon for IE that skinned the whole top of the window. Personas is the clean solution for Firefox. It's still in beta, and there isn't a whole ton of theme selection, but I find it adds some nice flair to the interface (I have "Groovy Blue")

Piclens: A GREAT and STYLISH way to do Youtube/Image/DeviantArt Searches.

Quicknote: A simple plugin for making..well quick notes, usually related to browsing. It's really like a "bookmarked Text file"

Read it Later: Kind of like Quicknote, but in a different way. Like the name suggests, if you find a website, and you don't want to bookmark it, you just want to read it later, it's basically stored like a Bookmark but you can easily remove it anytime.

Rikaichan: A handy Japanese dictionary you just activate it in a right click menu. You then just point to the text. It'll tell you individual letters, or the whole word. It can also recognize certain images (like maybe you're on a Japanese site and you need to know which button does Yes and No).

Webmail Compose: I like using Yahoo Webmail, but normally, if you find a "mailto:" link, it opens up Outlook. This extension automatically takes you to the webmail composing page of your choice (hotmail, yahoo, gmail). Unfortunately there's currently no 3.0 support.

well i'll make sure to add some of those

also if you could add teh theme you are using or have liked

I use in FF3 a theme called own, its a Vista-like version of the original theme

while getting some addons mentioned above i got

coolris preview: better than the google preview
Foxy meter: tells you how many web pages you've viewed and how many a day, pretty useless but it is cool

    thats it

Pretty much all of my addons have been said already, but I'll post which ones I use.

AdBlock Plus - It blocks adds

AVG Safe Search - It tells if a site is safe when using Google

    ChatZilla - IRC client

    Download Statusbar - Download manager

Fast Dial - Replaces about:blank page with thumbnails to your favorite sites

Fast Video Download - It lets you save youtube videos

Flagfox - Shows the location of a website's server

Forecastfox - It shows the weather

GooglePreview - It lets you preview sites in Google and Yahoo

Splash - It adds a splash screen to Firefox

    translator - Translates websites

I was using a couple others, but they aren't compatible with Firefox 3.

    EDIT:

Today I got Media Converter and it seems to work pretty well.

Foxmarks (Shares bookmarks between multiple systems, good since I use a laptop and PC)
    Adblock Plus and the g.setfilter for it, or something along those lines... o.o;;
    Gmail notifier
View in IE, basically lets you right click a page and click load in IE, I can't remember the exact name of the addon right now, but it's handy when you're on a page that's not quite Firefox compatible.

That's about it really. I'm usually a GUI whore but I'm actually really content with Firefox's GUI.

I have only FireFTP installed on my Firefox. I also have a Final Fantasy theme but it only works with Firefox 2. It still has to be updated to Firefox 3.

I'll try posting the link to install the theme but it only works in html:
    <a href='javascript:InstallTrigger.installChrome(Inst allTrigger.SKIN, "http://www.deviantart.com/download/55884507/Final_Fantasy_Firefox_Theme_by_Chocobo_Knight.jar" , "My Skin Theme")'>install My Skin</a>
