So true, you should see my town there hasn't been many anti social acts committed but some people think that we do it all the time for example there's a side alley near my house which can be used as a short cut from school to my home and from about 8 o'clock to 12 o'clock an old man will come there and settle in for the night. When I asked him about it he said he did to stop young people from mugging each other, now I have tremendous respect for the fact that he's willing to sit there for 4 hours in an attempt to cut down theft but we live in the country young people constitute about 10% of the population if that and the people who do these things are a small minority, also in all the time he's done it not one person has attempted to commit a crime. He said that it was because he was watching, I asked him how one old man with arthritis would stop them, he doesn't do it any more.

I believe the youth of today get a bad reputation becuase most of us are doing just that - getting a bad reputation. If it wasn't for all these 'kids' getting pissed all the time, stoned all the time and running around 'protecting their postcode', the world would be a better place.

I don't think that ALL teens should be stereo-typed, if you get what I mean. I know most teens are quite happy with underage sex, drinking and drugs consumption, but there are the rest of us who are quite happy to keep our heads down to our studies and more productive socializing, like joining a club and/or being a part of something new.

One of my friends who is 5-6 months younger than me can get get into clubs and get served cigs and booze. Now I don't really know how she does this because she has the mental age of a 5 year old (?). People like me who... lets say, grown up a bit considering my age, would get laughed at if I went in to a sweet shop and asked for cigs or tried getting into a club. I don't get it!

So, to finish I'd say alot if teens are giving us a bad rep, - its NOT all of us! End of.

Yeah, getting a bad reputation is a trend these days. I knew a lot of high school kids who already smoke and drink, and some even have tattoos already. It seems that no matter how much you try to discipline them, it never gets into their dead stubborn heads. But maybe parents and teachers have something to do with it: they spoil the dang kids. When the young ones do something bad, they stop them, but most of the time, they just ignore it. "They're just kids, after all." Ring a bell??

And some teachers and professors never tell the parents about the sh*t their kids do. But that covers only 25% of the problem. The other 75% lies on the youth itself. But that's how the youth today are: they sieze every opportunity at something new. But in their case, against-the-law new... and most of them are just high school students.

But to be honest, I wasn't all that levelheaded when I was in high school. I could be a troublemaker but never to the extreme.
