Re: Your View on Child Porn

Child porn and anything related thus are the sickest possible forms of exploitation conceived by humans.( I will add to that rape to either children or adults). I beleive that people who indulge in any related activities should, like Megatron said, be painfully and slowfully castrated( or whatever the female equivalent is for the female minority of those who indulge in said activities) as well as a conspicuous brand which may humiliate them as they humiliated their victims. And when I am talking brand I am talking Inglorious Basterds style Swastika on head brand. As well as a few decades in prison where the more morally upright inmates may have their way with them.

Back on topic. Child porn in inexcusable, I was surprised to hear that women only get 15 years. I think pedophiles should be locked up for life. They are like murderers, in effect they have "murdered" a child's innocence and most probably ruined their life.

Porn at it's best is pointless, but child porn is just awful, the exploitation of children in these situations actually makes me want to puke. Child porn is akin to slave labor in my book, no-one should be able to justify this.
After reading almost every reply, this by far is the most straightforward. I mean attempting to "cure" a pedophile sounds ridiculous. Stealing the innocence of a child that way is dicusting. I cant imagine what goes through their head, what makes them think its right to take advantage of a little kid. I believe those people should be labeled, they made jews wear stars why not let everyone know what they have done. [& no im not trying to compare the holocaust with this]. I really dont see anything similar about being bipolar and deceiving a child. Most of those kids have no idea of the situation. They are just left scard for life.

I know someone that was "abused" she wasn't in porn or anything like that but shes been through so much and its made her cold. She doesnt want anything to do with men and she always has to go to therapy.
She has to live the rest of her life knowing that a sick man took advantage of her.

I'd have to say that any crime of a sexual manner committed against a child is inexcusable. There is no reason why a child's innocence should be stripped away from them. I agree with branding them or something to that effect to make sure that people know what that person has done.

i love emotional way of thinking, such anger in everyones words you could forge a double edged sword out of it.

life has a funny way of dictating rules of how large groups of people should live. like back in ancient greece, did you know that soldiers used to have sex with each other before the day of battle. that changed of course based on what later society called wrong and immoral.

or how about when it was okay for a man in his mid to late twenties could have children with a girl who was 15. in those settings back then you were mature from the ages of 15 and should have thought about having a family to have a nice big farm. and that was similar in many parts of the world back then.

like a couple hundred years ago, you could shoot a man one on one just for using a word you don't understand, if it sound offensive to you. but someone got it into their head that if i were to kill someone in a duel that offspring would come after me and made it so in society that a dueling was forbidden.

of course now adays modern people are more refined in our ways, we don't lie cheat and steal, but if we were its for a greater good right? everyone in modern society makes objective point of views by reviewing the facts and do not make irrational decisions, and one would not try to draw conclusions cause a person does say exactly the same thing in what a group of like minded people say.

    -----------------
as for me if you want my opinion on the matter you won't get it. it was such a silly idea to start up a witch hunt to try to find someone who does not agree with the common opinion. but if your looking for someone to burn, you could take those who are caught with the porn and burn them on the stake and while were at it, well burn the married gay couples, and then the clans people who are against the blacks and minorities, and after that to keep the crowd all riled up, lets burn the abortion doctors, after that well go for killers, and rapists, after that if there is nothing else left, burn everyone who does not agree with our ideals. there you all just made a better world. by fire be purged.

not fun is it when something is blown out of proportion is it. by the way i raided all of your cupboards of chips and kool-aid, im going to watch some star wars.

I can see your point, Trodorne, but even in ancient Greece people had limitations. A 7-year-old child wasn't subjected to the same things a 15-year-old "adult" was and if some one over stepped that boundary they would have an angry father to deal with as apposed to a justice system that may or may not let them slip through the cracks. Plus the average life expectancy was much shorter back then than it is now. If you lived to be 50 you may have been one of the oldest people in your area. Regardless, I agree that just because the majority can agree on something doesn't make it right. Lynchings used to be allowed because the masses wanted them. Wasn't right, but who was gonna tell the mob of people holding the rope that? Bottom line is no matter how immoral something is some one is gonna enjoy it.

You know what should be illegal? Child pageants that overly sexualize children.
I mean seriously, have you seen the way the parents dress and make over their little girls?
Those pageants are probably breeding grounds for pedophiles.

I actually remember this little bit of historical info. Particularly 'Athenian pederasty' which had half of my history class in stitches because we were real mature like that. Forget 15 year old 'adults', they were homo for adolescent 12-14 year old boys.

Still not as bad as a 7 year old, but that kind of thing still screams really ****ing dodgy to me especially considering some 12 year olds look younger. And I think I recall hearing about younger children getting married for political reasons in the far past as well, though do not know if there was anything sexual about it until the younger one became of age. Definetely don't want to go there...

Re: Your View on Child Porn

Well, I don't agree with porn being made specifically for children, that's odd, and should be kept for the 40 year old guy living in mum's basement. But face it, if a kid wants to yank on his todger like a monkey on a banana tree, whilst watching an oompa loompa look alike woman with huge jugs as she straddles another oompa loompa look-alike woman with huge jugs, he is going to do it. It's his choice, and even without child porn, he'd find regular porn. The internet is infested with all kinds of porn, a child can easily find it, whether we disagree or not, so it doesn't really matter. If that makes sense?

Ahhh. Well isn't that being wrong just a given? That's... disgusting. I didn't even know that existed. What do you mean? Is it the dirty old man taking pictures of children kind, or actual porn where children are engaging in sexual activities with each other? Either way, they're both... unmentionably wrong, but I didn't even know the latter existed, if it does. You'd have to clear me up on that.

Re: Your View on Child Porn

I've known about people having pictures of naked children on their computers, but only in a situation where they've molested such children and taken pictures/videos, like making their own personal porn. Never have I known about websites hosting images like that. And I think I preferred it when I didn't, too.

That kind of thing doesn't really happen where I live, so no, I don't hear much about it. And by saying that Child porn is wrong was a given and that it's disgusting, was my opinion, which I'm sure is what the thread is about? People's opinions on it? And by quote, "What are your thoughts on it?". So, and I mean no offence, please don't speak to me like I'm eight years old.

Something I agree on! Man, that stuff is sick. I can't believe the parents of those girls.

How do they even get away with hosting stuff like that?

Where about is that? Sounds like a nice place.

No, seriously. I can't imagine a place in which this doesn't happen. Perhaps you're just not aware of it.

What about if someone's found to have this kind of stuff on their computer, but, say, they didn't intend for it to end up there. Are there ways that they can tell that they didn't want it? Are they still culpable of a crime? Sometimes I hate the thought of certain laws. I wish they were more clearly defined. But no, they tend to keep things like this very vague.

    Hmm.

And yes, this can happen. I don't visit places where I've heard it does, though.

Forgive me. I should be asleep!! I fear I'm talking nonsense.

Actually Fluffy brings up a good point. What if you have images in your cache from browsing the lulzier parts of the Internet and the Feds show up wanting to waste taxpayers money in a way that looks good. Will they understand the viewing was unintentional or will they scream 'CHILD PORN!!!' and lock you away with burly blokes who want to make their own unique variety of porn with you?

I should hope that our legal system isn't so damn rigid(hope, but who knows) that it can't tell the difference between someone who has a hidden library of child porn on their desktop comp and someone who has questionable sites recorded in their history. Say what you want, but I can't imagine those files are easy to find on the internet and I doubt they're free. Perpetrators would have to take pains to locate them and once having located them I doubt these sort of people would just be content with going to the sites, but would also want to save the pics. (i.e. in flagrante delicto) I have an idea that those sort of people are the actual targets of law enforcers. There are too many people who stumble upon those questionable sites to track down and hunt. I would hope we are not paranoid enough, as a society, to start a witch hunt of that order.
