That clip was actually from Silent Hill Origins. The graphics were too bad to be Silent Hill 5 and the PSP hasn't yet got games with good graphics.

However, the video looks nice. I really want a PSP to play this on, haha. On the other hand, they may be nice and cheap this coming yar, since the prices recently dropped a little more.

Anyway, Silent Hill 5 will be out next year. It will be on PlayStation 3. Alucard earlier stated that it MAY be out for the PlayStation 2, but Konami were unsure about that decision.

I think it'll be out on PlayStation 3, though. Just our ****ing luck. >=[

I want to smack Konami and tell them to make more games for currently existing consoles. Silent Hill 4: The Room was scary enough without even better graphics on the next system. o___o


And Walter Sullivan is sort of sexy, by the way. I guess I'm a sucker for a guy that has long hair and wears a hobo coat. Haha.

But yeah, game producers will usually try to put games out on newer systems (just because they can...) to promote both the game and the system.

As I've heard it, the PS3 it Sony's last chance; if it doesn't succeed, rumor has it that they're finished... sucks for them...

If they decided to put it out on 360, that would seal the deal for me. Actually, no. If Square Enix decided to move the Final Fantasy titles over to 360 as well, then I'd be sold on the 360. I'd save up and buy one as soon as the news broke out.

Sadly, that probably won't happen. I have yet to play a PS3. Everytime I go to Wal-Mart or a game store, the display thing is either frozen or just not working. Pretty sad.

Yeah. I know... The PS3 is said to be defect-ridden. The PS2 was fairly defective as well when it first came out, though. Perhaps they will sort out their mistakes and get it right on the first try one of these days?

If SH5 is on the PS3, then the monsters and "scenery" should be exquisitely detailed.

Oh yeah. The game will look insane if it's on the PS3. Hopefully they get everything sorted out with that damned thing (and drop the price by about $200) so we can finally play one.

Also, I just wrote a bit more on the SH4 walkthrough. I'm about halfway through the first visit to Subway World. I'm not looking foward to explaining the proper way to go through the cars. It's much easier to just do.

After SH4, I may start up SH3 again. I've kinda been wanting to play that lately. OH!!! I found the Greatest Hits version of SH2 yesterday for $20 at Gamestop! I almost had a heart attack. I'm definitely going to be returning to buy it.

Once I do that, my collection will be complete! Muahahahaha!!!!!

Note: Both have subways. Both have some part OUTSIDE of Silent Hill. Both have a shopping complex. Despite the different looks between the shopping areas... Hm... maybe not.

I've never seen any kind of special addition for any other Silent Hill, sadly. I do own the black label version of Silent Hill 1, though. I'll have to post a picture of them all today sometime (if the camera doesn't die...)

A friend of mine has an autographed posted of Silent Hill. I'm incredibly jealous of that one. It's got several signatures on it. I know he met all of the main characters from the film. I'll have to see if I can get a picture of it (or steal it from him).

I need to decorate my house with Silent Hill things! Actually, I've been thinking of making this room look Silent Hillish whilst my family are away. That way, I can have a piece of Silent Hill within my own home! =D
I would take pictures, of course. I just need some bloody looking sheets and maybe some chain link and cobwebs.

Man, need Silent Hill 3 special addition... Or hell, just steal the comic from it and laugh until I can't laugh anymore.

Wow, American boxes are different to British ones. Our Silent Hill 1 box is better than yours, though, haha. And Silent Hill 3's. Your 4 owns ours.

In any case, our DVD box is different to yours, too. We have the picture of Rose walking into Silent Hill. =)

I was really let down with our Silent Hill movie case. It doesn't fit the feel of the film at all. I'd much rather have the one that you're talking about. If I had another copy of SH4, I'd send it to you!

Horah my power didn't go off, as for your conversation about different picures for games and movies. I have noticed the U.K ones look alot cooler usualy, Your right, your version is so much cooler! I hate our Silent Hill Movie poster, its cheesy, the mouthless girl, what does that have to do with silent hill anyway? It's so obviously photoshopped and all.

I've been working on the bestiary, but I've also been mega busy. That, and writing it out is somewhat tedious. BUT!!! It's going along well. I hope you don't mind that I'm doing it somewhat "informally" in that I just speak on a friendly note with the reader. I'll just post a couple so that you get what I mean.

Sniffer (male)
Sniffers are the dog enemies with the extra-long tongues. Kind of makes you wonder what they’re for, eh? These guys can be pretty dangerous if you don’t know how to handle them. Just like any wild dog missing chunks of skin, Sniffers are easily provoked. All you really need to do is cross their field of vision and they’re on to you.
-Defensive strategy: Stay away. Do your best not to go near these guys. They travel in packs and are highly dangerous if you don’t have some sort of incendiary in your inventory. Just WALK as far from them as possible.
-Offensive strategy: Unlike most other dogs, a regular blunt object is not the best way to oust these guys. You’re best bet is to keep your distance and fire at them with one of your guns. Actually, scratch that. Go with the defensive strategy. Bullets are too tough to come by in this game. But if you’re going to use your guns for one type of enemy, this should be it.

Gum Heads (old type and new type)
Gum Heads are the monkey-like creatures you’ll come across for the first time in the apartment world. Annoying, brutal, and deadly are three words that describe these guys pretty well. They’re very fast and very strong. The old types usually walk around on all fours while the new type walks upright and sometimes carries a golf club. These guys can steal your equipment if you’re not careful. If you’re missing a weapon, search their corpses.
-Defensive Strategy: This strategy is recommended. Try not to encounter these guys if you can. Do your best to run around them and just all around not let them notice you.
-Offensive Strategy: Save your bullets. Take them on with a quick weapon like the axe and just hit them fast and hard. If you manage to fully charge up a shot you should get them down pretty quickly.

Yea, now that i think about it, it could have some meaning. I just think it looks cheesy, they could have added more things in too, its just a girls face. It doesn't even look creepy, not that it has to but yea. Anyways hearing you guys talk about SH4 makes me want to play it, bad. As soon as I can I am going to hunt that game down and, and... BUY IT!

It's not like the other Silent Hill games, so be warned. Many fans were severely disappointed about it.

It like it, though. As do loads of others. It's sort of a "you either love it or hate it" gaming experience.

Chez pretty much hit the nail on the head. When I first played Silent Hill 4, my first reaction was "what the ****?", but give it a little while. It gets a bit more like the old Silent Hill games over time.

Don't worry about the first person view, either. It's only in the apartment (but not in apartment world). You'll see what we're talking about.
