Welcome to the Challenger's Lounge of The Red Streak Mercenaries

This is an extension of my Gaming Clan, but it functions primarily as a place to accept and make gaming challenges to anyone else.

All Multiplayer Online games are usable for the Pwner Club!
Joining has the possibility of finding someone else with the same Multiplayer game as you online.

You can set up tournaments and one player challenges to others just by posting and giving a small payment of forum credits as your own entry fees or none/just for fun activities. You set up the fees yourself.

Please Deposit the Fees into my account and I'll act as banker till the end, then distribute it accordingly.
Prizes and fees are unnecessary, but nice.

(Creators must pay same fees as well to join in the Tournaments/Challenges)
You set the fees and prize money. Winner take all style.

New Feature: Member Challenge!!
Now if you join, you may challenge any member(s) to any game on TFF even if they're not in the club.
The Challenger must PM me on the challenge and who involved. I will forward the message upon approval to the Challengee.
If they accept, then the challenge will commence at the agreed time.
If denied, the message will be returned and a reply PM will follow.



Tournament Rules

If you are posting an online tournament, you'll need to post your Gamertags here and on the forum.
(Xboxlive gamers need to post both here and in the gXboxLive link at the top of the forum.)

To compensate for the different time zones, you'll need to post the times for online tournaments in the standard 0:00 time zone (Prime Meridian).
(In your profile settings in the forum, you set the timezone yourself. Take that time and add or subtract it from the time you set.)

If you arrive late, don't pay the requested fee, or cause problems among the members/gamers, you'll be disqualified and lose any fee payed for the specific tournament. Fees will be added to the prize if already paid for.

canceled tournaments must be done 24 hours before the tournament is scheduled to take place. Fees will be returned to the respected gamers in that event.




Challenge Rules

For Gaming Challenges, upload your submitted game data on http://thefinalfantasy.net/forums/cl...w.gamefaqs.com within the respected games.
Please use PSP, PS3, PS2/PS3, Action Replay Max, and PC formated data to be reviewed.

They must have a time beginning and time ending, and must be possible.
Hacking games and game data are not allowed. If found they will be disqualified from the events.

New Ranking System.
Deck of Pwns (DoP Rank)
Based on card numbers with the suit in Pwns.
Everyone starts at "Duce of Pwns" and must work their way up to the upper ranks through challengels and tournaments.
Each member may implement a tournament or challenge risking any number of ranks in order to move up.
Losing a tournament moves you down a rank.
No Rank Risk Tournaments and challenges move up ranks by one. Each Rank risked adds to how many ranks you can move up.
You cannot go lower then the 2 rank, but you can't enter tournaments that cost more ranks then you have to enter.

Each rank may be put into your Sig or online profile.

Oh, and on Tuesday, I'll have GTA IV, so there's always whatever online interactivity that may have with it that we can mess around with.


I figure a game list would help out so that you know what we could play together, or for challenges, or whatever.

Yeah, I plan on getting Soulcalibur IV, and DOA 4 isn't actually all that bad. The fighting is fast paced and involves countering.

Was playing Ace Combat 6 just a half hour ago, was winning quite well, but I think I ran across a hacker in one match.
He was on my side, but his kill rate was way too high to be normal.
3 on 4, we won by over 30000 points. (somewhere over 1000 equals one kill)
My score was 9600. His score was 25300. In 10 mins. Didn't die once either.
Way too high for the aircraft he was using. Same as mine.
That's why Hacking is illegal in the club.


Is Eye of Judgment any good?
I was debating whether I should get it or not.
Another collection game.... Got too many right now.. lol
Probably should sell some.

As no one seems to want to post again, just yet, I'll have to double post. lol


I got VF5 and DOA4 Sunday, so if anyone wants to challenge me to a match, feel free to do so. As well as any other game I have or might get. Just name it and I'll probably get it.

Transitioning from the PS3 controller to the 360 one is kinda hard, especially with fighter games. The Dpad is the problem; it feels akward. It's to the point that I need to use the Analog stick for controls. I even had the batteries die on me in my first match.

I'm currently on a losing streak of 2/11 on VF5. I keep getting close to winning, then the person pulls off a chain and ends it. A 10 Kyu taking on upper level Dans isn't really good either, I guess.




I think I'll implement a Pwnage Point system into the club. Although it'll have ranks, it's not for control of the club, just to show who's the best gamer around. Maybe playing card ranks will work, like Ace of Pwns, King of all Pwners, Queen Pwner, and such including special banners of each rank.... But I'm still not sure. If either of you two think it's a good or bad idea, just say something.

...Who the heck uses the D-pad on the 360 pad? It's so ugly and horrible. I use the joystick believe it or not. It's much better and more fluid to play with. The dpad is very tight on the controller.

You should be using the stick anyway. XD I'll probably ask you to play one of these days.

I have Capcom vs SNK2, Guilty Gear XX, Halo 2 & 3, Army Of Two, KUF: Circle of Doom, and a few others I think that I forgot of, lol. I also plan to get Soulcalibur 4 once it comes out as well. Oh and yeah if any of you play PSU on the 360 I am on that sometimes as well.

I always play on the d-pad for every fighting game I have, regardless of system.. my friend says its not a good idea because it is harder to transition from that to an actual arcade joystick, but I seem to do quite fine with the switch as well.

Played against Toph in VF5 and DoA4 Friday. About even in VF5, but we only ever got in one match in DoA5. A noob against S rankers isn't really fair, now is it? lol

Toph and one S ranker helped me learn the controls, I'm familiar with them now.
Pissed another S ranker off later on, won one round against them and almost beat them in the later rounds too. Didn't win, but close. Just need to learn the chains.

Personally I prefer the Dpad, but the 360s sucks so much, I really can't.


Double Exp Weekend on Halo 3 right now. Team Snipers is my specialty. Won several times, and once against a team of all Colonels with a team of 3 under Colonel. (I'm only a Captain)

I just wish I had some challenge with Ace Combat 6... One or few vs many is the only challenge I really get.

although team snipers is pretty fun imo, I didn't want/too poor to download the new maps to play them on, lol..I'll probably wait until they're free, I didn't like any of them, and I was especially let down by the Lockout remake from H2...but yeah I hope they add them back in again. Even though my snipe is pretty bad since I adjusted my sensitivity, I liked playing it because it was so intense as a gametype.

Since H3 is why I'm on a lot, if I'm not busy scrimming and stuff I'll send you an invite and we'll play some matchmaking or something, I can probably help you get your 40 in something pretty easily. btw the best way to improve on your own is just play the MLG playlist, and get good with the Battle Rifle, Carbine, and Sniper.

Army of Two screws up my FPS skills.
Just aiming in a general direction and hope that your shots hit, doesn't work in Halo 3.

I don't like Blackout either, but the other maps are really not that bad. Ghost town is more like urban warfare and Avalanche is a sniper's paradise.
If you did have them, we could have used my Santa'sWorkshop map with the Santa Riot and Infection games.

haha yeah I got 35 kills with the BR, I remember that. You asked "How did you get so many kills?!" and I said something like "I just kept shooting" lol. yeah I apologize for ALLSTAR being a fag and booting you eariler, 15 year olds that think they are Chuck Norris at a video game tend to do that, and we still got the big W in that MLG game anyways. But yeah all those game variants were really fun (my favorite being the floating barge).

I'm 20 and play in several leagues. Tis the life of a mercenary.

I can hold my own against many upper rankers, but tend to get paired with crappy teammates. Noobs and such.
Friday, I got put into a group of Noobs on Team Snipers that only got 5 kills each against a team of 2. I got 19. They keep dieing so easily it was pathetic. And on top of it all, They all outranked me.


Yeah, we use that map for huge free-for-all battles, like Big Juggernaut or just a huge ass slayer. Infection is wicked on that map.

nah, Allstar is only 15, he is finishing up his first year in high school, myself and surreption are 19 though, so that was why he was probably more chill in the lobby.

so what are the other leagues you play in, and what kind of games do you play in those leagues?

haha yeah you will always end up with noobs when you go into matchmaking alone in H3. Even when I go alone in playing against level 48-49 kids, some of them are still really bad and have no idea what teamwork is... and then you get one kid on your team who is the "stat-whore", one who waits for you to do all the dirty work shooting some guy then he rushes in and cleans up the kill, then he complains to you guys on how you can't get any kills... But yeah usually the best way to win is if the other team has more noobs than you, then you have a chance. I do like how they changed how you get matched up though, like in Halo 2 for example you could have a group of 4 teaming up against 4 random players all the time, now you cant anymore because they match the groups up against each other, which is pretty nice.

I'm in the Major League Gaming (MLG), The Global Gaming League (GGL), and the Extreme Gaming League (EGL/EGM).

Got put in a team on Ranked Team Slayer, and no one but me got any kills.
1 dropped out at the beginning, one died 6 times then quit, and the last stayed, but was more like a moving target that couldn't hit the side of a barn with a hand full of crap.

50 to 19 on Valhalla. I was pissed.

I've been playing I'd say since March of 2007, that was when I got really interested in trying to get better at Halo2 when it was out, and yeah I also play in the MLG, I was on a team that was a few places shy of getting into the bracket playoffs for the first online Halo3 tournament, the one that would place the seedings and such for the first LAN tournament that happened in April.

Yeah I kinda had a rough day online as well, I lost like 3 team slayer games in a row, get on another account, do really well on the MLG playlist, get back on the first account, try playing Team Slayer again, do bad the first 2 games, then I lag out and can't get back on Live, grrr.

Sorry, I can't. Nothing against you, but my friend's list is completely full and I can't really remove anyone without people getting mad at me, and the MLG community has a twentyfold worse community out there than any other place, so I try not to step on toes when I can avoid it. If I see you online and there is an opening in the party though, I'll send you an invite if you ever want to play MLG customs with some semi-pros and even a few pros.

But even worse, my router is for the Xbox is acting up and I am having trouble even getting online tonight, so I might have to get a new one...Those things were not cheap either....

I understand, I've tried to join up with other league members, but their lists were full. I joined up on their second accounts, though.

Routers are expensive to replace. Never had to myself, but my friends who did, said, they're over priced.

When you can, just jump on to my party and we'll slay a few hundred.

I have to say, Grifball is pretty fun when you have a good team.
Fake-outs with the ball are a great way to screw up the other team.

Grifball is insanely fun, no doubt about it, but only if you are playing with funny people. Sometimes it can get frustrating if the host is in yellow bar the entire game.

I like the new ranks, the whole system reminds me of some old PSX street racing game, it was soo fun to play, but I sold it a long time ago after beating it... The hidden racers had names similar to the deck of cards, up to the toughest guy being the "Ace of Spades."

I should find the clips of a snipe my one friend did. The guy flipped off the spawn base on Last Resort, over the railing. Saw it from a far, but it was good.

IMO, I don't think that is a great idea, mainly because I think that the PWNers club should be something that 133t people are in, so we don't really have to have "joke" ranks and such. I mean, look who is all in the club, Toph pwns in fighting games, I pwn in halo, and Lococolt pwns IRL, so it doesn't get any more leet than that. Besides, it may discourage people from joining which may or may not be a bad thing.

I'll send you a video clip of my kilimanjaro on XBL if you want, so you can take a picture or w/e you need to, since I don't have all that cool stuff available to me.
