Tingle may be Nintendo's first shot at a homosexual character. Although Nintendo has never confirmed that, but if homosexual faqs are anything to go by, that should be proof enough to warrant Tingle in the gay-penis demographic.

I think you might be right, there. Heh. Have you seen the two new weirdos that are replacing Tingle in Twilight Princess? They seem to be cross dressers, or something. At least one of them did. Been a while since I saw them, in Electronic Gaming Monthly. Maybe a google image search would be appropriate. Anyhoo...

I've been working on my Legend of Zelda remixes of my favorite Biggie tacks and here's the first verse:

In the commission, I am the permission to hit em
Link doesn't like me, him and that bitch Zelda was wit' em
You heard of us, the murderous, most shady
Been on the low lately, the Hylians hate me
The son of *satan*, they say my killings too blatant
You hesitatin', I'm in Zelda's castle waitin'
    Duct tapin', my Triforce destiny
Triforce lays in my hands, sword lays in my waist
Francis, m to the iz-h phenomenal
Sword rest under my vest by the abdominal
Rhyme a few bars so I can buy a few empires
And I kick a few flows so I can pimp a few hoes
Excellence is my presence, never tense
Never hesitant, leave a double F fag bent real quick
Real sick, brawl nights, I perform like Mike
Anyone: Cloud shit, fag shit, weedy shit
    Action, fake swords, ridiculous
And I'm, quick to bust, if my ends you touch
My Triforce or hoes you touch, in this world I clutch
Two double F faggots, used to call me fatso
Now they call me Castro, my sword flows
Militant, y'all faggots ain't killin' shit
Ooops gerudo dust keep spillin', shit,
You overdid it Link, you in the danger zone,
You shouldn't be alone, hold hands and say it like me
The most shady, Ganon baby, fantastic
See me, only me, the underboss of this holocaust
    Truly yours, Ganondorf

The Chorus is in it's early stage:

We got the real gaming shit from front to back
To my Nintendo gamers in the world, where the f**k you at?
Where the f**k is my Gerudo n****z is at? (2X)
Where my Gerudo n****z is at?
Where the f**k my bitches at?
    Where my bitches is at?
    (repeat all 2X)

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

You wanted a picture, so here one is: Raka and Tobi. Although Most sites I've seen have described them as being 'freakish clowns," not "freakish cross dressers..." but just look at their shirts! That's scary, man! Anyhoo...

Okay I have seen freakish clowns (can anyone say "it") and I have seen freakish cross dressers ("to wong foo" comes to mind) and that there pair would fall in the second category. Holy cow if Iran into those guys on the street I would either wet my pants in fear or just run away. Why in the world does twighlight princess need scary cross dressers?

tingle is ****ing amazing. he captures the spirit of anyone over the age of 30 that still loves video games. he captures the spirit of us 20-somethings that stay up all night playing zelda just because there's no more adults around to tell us not to. he captures the spirit of anyone who wanted to be something they couldn't, but never gave up.

maybe reading a bit much into what's basically a comic relief - however, the fact that he has followers in LoZ:WW just goes to show that his enduring spirit is a passionate flame shared by others. don't knock tingle cause he's an overweight mustached pedophile in tights... who's name is TINGLE for christ's sake - but hey, he represents the repressed dreamer in all of us don't you think?

Hey I don't know if anyone really cares but I thought that I would announce it anyway. I just bought a copy of the very first Nintendo Power released! It's real nice! I was way excited to get it. I have been reading it all day. In fact I liked it so much that I am going to get a subscription to nintendo power. I'm pretty sure that the last time I had a subscription was like 1994. Still it's going to be great.

I have to admit however that I sure am glad that NP figured out how to make a magazine! Some of these pages are WAY to hard to read. I mean the bases loaded section is like some type of secret code that is waiting to be decoded.

Any thoughts or memories on nintendo power?

I also had a copy of the very first Nintendo Power ever. Got it from my Grade School library, right at the end of either my third or fourth grade year, because they used to give out old magazines and such when you had enough points (I don't remember how you got these points, however.) The cover and like the first few pages had been torn off, but the majority of the magazine was still there. I used to love looking through it, to read about the old games (I was really into classic NES games for a little while, there...) I especially enjoyed the article on the original Legend of Zelda. I don't remember now what else was in there, however.

I miss the full page maps they used to have in the magazine. Reading NP's coverage of these games made me happy, because it almost felt like playing the game, or something, in a strange way. I dunno. When I'd actually play some of the games, however, they were often not as fun as they seemed in the magazine. I remember that I especially liked the issue on Super Mario World, for some reason, however. Maybe because Yoshi was on it. La la la... I like pictures... *shrug*

Anyhoo, the magazine has kind of become like the other gaming magazines, from the last one I saw. I remember there just being a lot of articles, and very few guides. Or maybe I'm just thinking of Electronic Gaming Monthly. While articles about opinions on games and multiple games are cool, I miss articles about specific games themselves, and guides to these games. The olden days... La la la...

I also used to really love "The Wizard." Maybe I just loved any and all NES advertisements? Heh.

Okay I've been thinking a lot about this lately and have a really important question for everyone.

Who do you think would win in a fight between mario and link? I mean mario is like the Nintendo "go-to-guy" but my money is going to be on link. Even though mario has the firepower link is just going to stab him and whamo he's done. I understand that in games like Super Smash brothers they have tried to make all of the characters have about the same abilities but in "real" life I would guess that mario is going down.

    Any thoughts?

Also I want to welcome setzertrancer our newest member. His favorite Nintendo games are the Zelda series especially both N64 ones.

And I will also mention that somehow this club is doing very well in the TFF Club awards for "Best Club" I would like to simply state that you guys are awsome and GO NINTENDO!!!

"In real life?" But neither are actually in real life... both get their powers from some magical property or another. But, to break it down...

Mario has his feet, his fire ability, his cape with which he turns enemies around, and sometimes his hammer. Link has his sword, a shield to deflect things (like the fire and the hammer)a bow and arrow, bombs, a spell that casts everything in the vicinity on fire, and a spell that makes everything in the vicinity frozen, among other things. Link clearly has more toys, and probably more dangerous toys, too. I also think that, from Smash Bros. (not to mention Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World, where if he runs fast enough, he flies) Mario is quicker, however. Remember, link has all that armor and crap in his backpack he has to lug around all the time.

It could be close. I think that if Link got Mario into a corner, or caught him in a misstep, Link would win. However, through a certain combination of events, I could see Mario winning, too. I'd say that Link has the edge, though. Anyhoo....

i know how we could figure this out, if anyone has supersmash bros. melee, have a match between mario and link and put both characters on a cpu player, then see who wins

Okay I tried it and Mario won....Still it just doesn't seem very scientific.

Perhaps if I were to get some rats and dress one like Mario and one like link stick them in a maze and then put cheese at the other end. Which ever rat is alive at the end will be scientifically the answer.

    Now that's science!

What is going to be in this maze that will cause the rat to die? Do you mean that you're just going to leave them in there until one starves?

Yes. "Science! Science again! I said Science again!" -Homestar Runner

In my opinion, though, some characters, when controlled by CPU, are just retarded when facing certain other CPU's. For example, Ganondorf always wins against other CPU's. Often times even when he's a level 6, and the other character is a level 9. Like, I think I remember a Samus being up on the Ganondorf by like two stock, and then the Samus commited suicide like 3 times in a row, almost. I was like "...wow." Also, the CPU-controlled Fox is just retarded. He grabs at nothing, and jumps off the sides of cliffs, fire foxes diagonally so he hits the bottom of the cliff and falls to his death instead of fire foxing straight up to safety, among other things. Anyhoo...

Well I had not thought of that? I guess to make it realistic and fair I will have to tie a sword and shield to the link rat (to replicate his normal weapons) and fire to the Mario rat (also a replication.) Then I will place them in the maze and which ever dies first is obviously the loser.

Once again science conquers any questions that you might have had. GOOooooo SCIENCE!

Ooo, don't end the Mario and Link discussion just yet let me have my say. So Link and Mario are standing on opposite ends of a flat fair battle area with wall to prevent falling, very unsmashbro like but here we go. Mario will most likely run in to close the distance but then Link will fire an arrow with his bow and mario will jump over it with his trademark backflip. Next mario shoots a bouncing fireball at link. Jumping won't work for link as according to his real games, not smash bros he can't jump very high at all. So Link just pulls his mirror shield of his back and causes the fireball to reflect back at Mario. He dodges it with another well timed jump. Link then casts Narus Love and charges at Mario with with sword and shield ready. Mario pulls out a Star and also because invincible.

(here’s what the Stage looks like |___| the walls are 8 meters high.

Now the two of them wait for their invincibility to be over as fighting like that would be pointless. Link aims his bow at Mario and shoots a Ice arrow hoping to freeze him. Mario blocks with his cape but it then becomes hard and shatters into little pieces. Mario runs again at Link and attempts to punch him. Link just holds his sword out in front of him with it having more range then Mario. Mario sees the danger in time and jumps over Link to his other side. Link pulls out a bomb and holds it for a second before he lobs it towards Mario. Mario then jumps on the bomb which makes it falls through the ground and fall into the strange boundary just below that makes the bomb disappear without a trace.

As a final resort link begins swinging his arms around in a strange way. Mario gets worried this is something big and he eats a mushroom growing to four times his normal size and then jumps on top of the left wall to wait it out. Link hits the ground and causes a sphere of fire to spread out in every direction. Mario then jumps up and narrowly avoids the fire with it only slightly burning his shoes and then moves to land on top of Link. Link holds his sword up to stab into the giant above him but it is too small and only pricks Mario slightly in the foot after going through his boot. Soon Mario land on Link and he suddenly falls through the floor somehow and into the deadly void of nothingness below the stage.

    What Link lost??!!

I didn’t even see that coming

Thanks, By the way, Maxpower. But I forgot to say that Smash Bros is the greatest fighting game ever as well.

I totally missed the question at the beginning of the thread before, that asked us which Nintendo game was our favorite. I'm not sure... Smash is an awesome game, with tons of replay value, but the Paper Mario games were a true masterpiece of video gaming experience. The Zelda games are also up there... I'm gonna say the game I played the most is my favorite, and go with "Smash."

I also took it as a personal challenge when you warned everyone that the Kirby banner was a bit "girly," max, and stuck it in my sig

I know it is girly but I have toa admit that the Kirby sig is one of my favorites. I think it's because I am a believer that tough guys always wear pink.

Anywho I appreciate you answering that first question Iwill go and change the club list. Also if everyone else could post a little blurb on your favorite game it would be awsome. Not only do you get another post count thingy but I can update our list. (I know that some other members have told me their favorite games in PM's or earlier on in this thread but I just want to make sure that you know what game I am going to post.)

One final thought is that I will be going through the thread on Thursday the 21st of september to remove members that have not posted here in over a month. If you fall in that catagory please post (or even just send me a PM) if you are active and don't want to be removed.

    Thanks

Um... between Mario and Link, it's a tough choice. But Zell isn't even in the same league. First of all, he isn't even the main character of his game, much less his entire series. Secondly, he is not an icon, or mascot. Though he is a cool character.

I dunno. Link is cool and all, but I've always pulled for Mario over the two. If I had to vote for one over the other in that Gamefaqs best character ever poll, for example, I'd vote for Mario. He just means more to me than Link does. He symbolizes all of gaming to me, whereas Link just symbolizes The Legend of Zelda. He symbolizes part of my youth, too.

Now, if Fox McCloud were thrown into the equation, however...

Where in the world did zell come from? Still I appreciate this question -naruto- I would have to say that I like the zelda games better but I think that mario does represent the idea of nintendo more than Link. So all in all I would vote for Mario.

Have you guys had a discussion about the Wii and it's Awsome remote yet. I'm sure you would have all heard of it. I would say more but I want to see if this topic has been exhausted first.

I'm Pre-Ordering my Wii and the game i'm most looking forward to are Zelda, Of course and Spore. You guys heard of Spore?

I've actually explained the controller in another thread, so for ease I will quote it.

For those of you who havn't heard it actually required you to move your arms to perform many actions in the game. First person shooters and as a particular example Metroid Prime 3 will have you move with the analog stick and point and shoot your enemies with the movement sensitive controller (called the Nunchuk). Wii Sports which will be coming out as a launch title with have you actually swinging the controller to hit the ball in tennis and golf. In the legendary Zelda which will also be a launch title the controller will be used to aim and fire his bow and hookshot and in the fishing minigame you'll actually be using the controller and pulling back on it and then putting it foward again to give the line slack like in real fishing.
There is a Rayman game coming out which will have you using the controller to control what his hand does, so if you punch with the controller he will punch in the game and if you grab something he will pick it up and etc.

If looks like this could be the first step in how truely immersive virtual reality games.
