I dunno if I'm welcome to give my two cents here, however, I feel that Nintendo is just trying to be more innovative (like the DS) and I think they will fail miserably. I cannot see the controller lasting long before everyone hating it and it's flaws (which it is sure to have, just like any other new innovative idea). The problem that Nintendo will have with it's controller, the DS suffers from this too, is that 3rd party creators won't now how to use it, and won't be able to do with it what Nintendo does.
With the DS the touchscreen is usually just a map in 3rd party games, but in 1st party games like Metroid Prime Hunters, you can play the whole game just using it.
But most people who get wiis and DSs are getting them for the 1st party games, and you can use a normal controller instead of the remote anyway.
