Well, I have no idea what will come of this, but watching over the purpose of this club has led me to fascination... My ap, take it or leave it.

Why do you think you are unique?
I don't think I'm unique. I know I am. Unlike most other people in their teens, I don't obsess over clothes, the opposite sex or the comercial world. I dislike alcohol, and would more likely spend a night in doing soemthing creative such as painting or sewing.

What talents separate you from others? Be advised that I'm only looking for unique talents.
Be it unique in others' opinions or not, I am a born artist. I paint in all different styles and genres, including having created my own theme. Which I would believe to be a transition between realism and what the world would be if it were more beautiful. I also draw macabre scenes of war and suffering which I refuse to post along the forums for risk of violating rules. Most of those such works stem from my fascination with psychology.

On another note, I am incredibly intuitate. Whilst I don't believe in psychic ability, I believe myself to be more intuitive than most others I know. I make predictions, and much of the time, they come to life.

Has anyone ever referred to you as different/strange/weird/freak/insane?
Yes, but only because I don't care enough to change their opinions. I'm horribly anti-social when I want to be.

How do you deal with the rest of the world, being so absurdly different as you are?
I don't. I work alone and dream of living somewhere quiet with only my boyfriend and our hamsters as company. I would rarely venture outside my house to socialise with others.

What title would you select to describe yourself, which we may refer to you openly?(NOTE: Please be unique)
If I am to be accepted, please call me Severeth. It is a deprivation of my Polski and Russian surrnames, of which I hold dear to my heart. (Sadly, 98% of my Polski and Russian family are dead or missing.)

    Yay, more weird people!

And who has a better insight into the weird then a person with a visual artistic imagination, be it macabre or not? Of course you are welcome here, Severeth! And I dare say that you fit in well.

    Welcome to the Theatre, Severeth!

    EDIT:

In Other news, the Rp OOC thread will be created this saturday. A definite date to look forward to.

    Tis that, dearheart.

    Welcome Severeth!

Right. That was all I wanted to say. Fluff times.

Hang on, Polski? Ziabishta! This keyboard has no accents! End of attempted Polish conversation. Anyway, yes. I live with a Polish girl just now and spend a lot of my time with the self-termed Crew Polski (for some reason they find that phrase hilarious - thinking perhaps 'crew' sounds like something else in Polish...). So I've been picking a bit of it up, and they tell me a lot about Poland and its culture. The prices of wine and cigarettes are excellent there...they complain a lot about how much of a rip off the UK is a lot but go on about their love for Scotland because, well, we know how to party and talk (Apparently the English don't know how to do those things...no comment, it was the Poles that said it .)

Anyway, I've done enough fluff. It's really good to have you here, Severeth.

    Take care dearhearts, cheerio.

Wow, a lot's happened since I've last popped in...

First off, welcome to the club Severeth!

Secondly, due to some issues with my classes, I've put the banners on the back burner, so to speak, until I can resolve some issues I'm having in college classes.

Finally, what's the OOC thread called? I couldn't find it when I looked.

In totally unrelated news, here are some more made up news headlines pertaining to real stories (no links this time, sorry).

OOC threads up! I would like all those who are interested in a club RP please respond to the OOC thread with ideas. I want this RP to reflect all of our members. I just provided a generic starting point. So speak up and when we're all happy we'll launch the RP.

    @Steel

Don't worry too much about the banners there's plenty of time for that sort of thing. btw, holy sh@t that dead deer thing is just weird lol. There's probably an interesting explanation for that one lol.

    @ Discussion

We're all weird individuals, right? Right? Do you think there's anything that we all have in common that makes us, not individuals, but a statistical group of deviants? A predictable factor of abnormals, so different that they're predictable to a fault? What do you think? Is there really any individuality in being labelled as "freaks"? And if there is, do we really want it?

All just random questions to ponder...

At anyrate, the RP OOC is launched!

I wouldn't say it's the most predictable thing, but there is one thing we'd have in common. A level of eccentricity or just plain abnormality above the average person. Though it would be for different reasons, it is a common feature. As for the individuality in being labeled a freak, I'd say it's there in a big way. Because we're all considered freaks for different reasons. Pain tolerance, intellect, a differing state of consciousness, an unusual amount of knowledge on one or more subjects, we all have our own thing. And I think it'd depend on the individual when it comes to wanting a 'freaky' feature. Some people like standing out, others don't. And some like me don't really care but have that much of an independent streak they stand out anyways.

What we all have in common is that we're all individuals.

THAT WAS SO CHEESEY IT HURT

Anyway. The things all we weirdos have in common is the fact that we, through some mechanism in our minds, have decided that we're not normal. That decision, to be what we are not and not something false, unites us on one level.

But that's about as much as I can think of. We're tied by difference.

Going to see OOC thread now

I don't know, really. I think it all depends on the individual. Every individual is different to the next. Me, personally... I don't really mind all that much what I'm seen as to others, mainly because I don't spend enough time around people to realise they might think I'm different.

I don't think I'm THAT predictable, especially in real life. My personality is so diverse, and I suffer from a personality disorder which sometimes puts a stint in my actions.

Certain individuals may be similar to others, but never the same, that's the point of individuality. If a certain group of individuals do something of the same category, for instance, if two could tightrope, or speak five different languages fluently, etc, then they may be under a category with each other.

Is this too confusing? I don't know, I'm in one of my strange moods...

Hmmn, I'm not sure it's really that aspect that unites the "freaks" ... actually I don't even consider myself a "freak" that term is a bit... mutilated and used commonly as a hurtful name. I don't consider myself any better or any worse than the average person- although everyone to some extent developes subconciously a self-image of narcissism... I said to some extent . But all-in-all everyone is so superbly the same it is sickening, and nobody, not you, not myself, not President Bush, is THAT different than the other.

The only difference I see with individuality are the seperate aspect roles we each fit into. Nobody is unique, yet everyone is different. There has been an earlier version of you in the world and there will be a later version- hell, there may even be someone mirror-image to you living next door. There are of course the artists, then there are the rebels, the goody-goods, the blah blah blah's. I guess I'm feeling very cynical today because I normally wouldn't be pondering things such as this and my view would be completely different .

I really don't even know why I'm typing something this long to such a small post, but I feel like typing and I'm sorry if I come off as a bit annoying.

I just think that as a whole, human beings are a VERY unique species... unique from what? We know no other intelligent species capable of what we are... yet, so I guess we trully ARE 100% unique. But, as individuals, we're so predictable and boring. Nothing we say, nothing we do, nothing we ARE is new. It's already been and it shall be again. Jesus H Christ, it sounds like I'm attempting to drive someone to suicide. I'm not trying that, I'm just thinking outloud... err, on my keyboard.

Anyway, the only lasting impression someone can leave on this world is that of thoughts and ideas. Painters accomplish this by creating visual worlds and physical miracles, forever imprinted on the canvas of life; writers [as my self] do this by spawning ideas and stories from their very own bodies, molding them into delicate tales that millions of people will read, and millions of minds, even if only slightly, will be changed. I wish someday to do this, then I'll feel unique.

WTF?!?!?! Lmfao!!! I HAVE to up my doses of caffein... ^_^

    Fin!

Well, to begin with, the fact that we are viewed as normal is the biggest thing that binds all of us together. As for the individuality in being labeled as freaks, there's plenty of it. As celtic said, we all have our reasons for being viewed as different, but at the same time we're still classified as freaks. I for one, could care less what people label me as, since I am my own man, and that's that.

I'm wearing a Cossack hat, a black jumper, and Indian skirt, and a mismatched pair of slippersocks. I went into the kitchen to find Hayley the New Mexican sitting alone (she doesn't live with us, but her flatmates had been shouting at her for smoking in her room again. Assholes. Our kitchen's open to her when she wants a fag in the warm).

She was feeling quite down. So I spoke to her for a while, tried to cheer her up. Molly, her other American flatmate and the only other normal one, is going off the rails somewhat. She comes from a stringent Evangelical Christian famiy in Pennsylvainia (whoa, killed that one), her mother's a preacher. Since she landed here it's been sex, drugs and rock n roll from the get go. Hayley's boyfriend is still in Santa Fe. So I spoke to her for a while, we had some tea.

She went home for dinner about an hour later. On her way out she said, 'You know what, Heather, you're a total weirdo. The hat. But I really would not have it any other way. Goodnight.'

I don't know why I'm telling this story. I suppose it was one of a handful of times in my life when someone has appreciated the fact that I am me.

Winter closes in my window, and I'm getting odder as the days grow shorter. Throw me a rope, Deity, be you actually Around.

Your dress sense sounds rather interesting! I would've liked to see that ensemble, somehow, I bet it goes together pretty well.

Nothings' been happening here. I've decided that since it's becoming to be the dead of the Winter time, I shall engage my temporery agrophobic side and stay in the house unless I can actually get a lift off of one of my parents. On the other hand, where is there to go during such weather? Nowhere, really. Nowhere worth going, anyway.

Other than that, I'm trying to mooch off the government. I had a bus pass where I could go places for free whilst I was in college... I want to continue use with it, but I'm a defurred student. Currently inactive. I'm hoping that if I scan my bus pass, I'll still get free rides come Spring, but I seriously doubt it.

    Sad...

New Years is coming, that's the time of year when my hatred for most people is at it's very peak. I have no problem with a few friends and a drink or two, but people take it to the point where it's more of a "slag off" holiday rather than a celebratory time.

So I avoid people, parties, alcohol and drugs.

Come to think of it, I mostly do anyway... My life is pretty sad, haha.

Lmfao! Chez, you sound exactly like I do on New Years... normally . It really urks me that the holiday is SO amazingly linked to getting completely and utterly wasted, then bitching about the mistakes you made while you were intoxicated, what a beautiful way to start the new year! I think Terry and I are just going to stay in this New Years for a quiet night, watch the ball drop, and all of that whatnot... maybe... . Then again, we live like old people already, seriously. It's upsetting that we both prefer to stay inside where it's warm, watch a few movies, work with our current projects with a huge blanket wrapped around us... we're only 19 and 21, why the HELL do we act like we're 63 and 65?

Oh well, what was I talking about? Uhmm... New Years, that's right!

What am I doing here and why do I feel the need to post about the most random bs?

Okay, while I'm here I might as well turn this post into something intelligent and meaningful to the club so I'm not hated by all.... hmmn..., I got it!

Since we're all so very creative [you KNOW it! ] why don't we have a short story contest for club members only? We can make a thread on the literary place and state that it's for member of this club only to post their stories, then after everyone's story has been posted, we let all of the members of the forum who aren't in the club to vote once on their favorite story... or maybe the members of the club vote on a story that isn't their own?

I don't know and none of you will probably want to do it, but it's just an idead. We could also all think of a theme together, maybe find a picture online to somehow be included, or a one line sentence that is included, something so everyone has to use the same substance but add creativity to it?

    I'm done, I swearz!!

    The Breakdown

Here we go, ready? Set. Go...

    @RP THREAD

We have an OOC up and three participants. Anymore need to register before I start the RP. Deadline is this sunday. That's when the RP is launched. So sign up if you feel so inclined.

    @DISCUSSION

New Years... Sparkling White Wine is all I have to say. Too many rounds of mimosas and left over Christmas candy. Maybe me an my gf will make a thing out of it, don't know, though.

I used to drink sugared coffee with milk with my dad on every New Years. Finally when there was an unamicable parting of ways, I drink it's polar opposite of Sparkling White Wine.

    @Momo

This sounds like an interesting idea and it's true, it has been a while since I've stretched my writing skills. I'll open it to a poll of the club. Anyone who is an advocate say "aye," if opposed then say "nay."

I'll give it my approval, and it is something the club can pull together for.

Well up for that. Great idea Momo.

    New Years? Trampolines. Nuff said.

Going to nap now, night out with Crew Polski...my **** can they drink...just wanted to register approval for Momo's story idea. Will perhaps concoct idea for theme when have woken up. I'm proud, though. Woke up in the clothes I'm wearing on Kamil's floor at 9.30, made my IR tutorial and all my classes. Fell asleep in Anthropology but everyone always does that anyway. What am I talking about?

    Good night, my loves.

Woo! Got all of my grades sorted out now, and I've signed up for my classes in the spring! What to do with all of this free time? oh yeah...maybe I'll post something meaningful.

    @New Years:

I still live with my mother, not to mention the fact that I'm not eighteen until 27 days after January 1st. Basically means that while most people are out getting wasted and doing stupid things, I'll be doing something worth my time: Playing Guitar hero 3. Normally on New Years, I'm up until about three am, playing whatever game I deem is the most fun that night. In fact, in '99, I believe I played the end of Final Fantasy Eight Disk 1.

Also, I vote a yes for the Story contest idea. It's been a while since I wrote anything creative, since school has required me to write non-fiction papers, but it sounds like fun ^-^.

Possible Theme: The Writing of a myth (creation, hero, or otherwise), loosely based on a game or tv show.

    Aye to Momo's idea.
I wonder though, got an idea in mind for us to write about, or will it be something random?
    I like random ^_^

As for New Years... I got no idea what I'll be doing this one, but previous ones tend to be either very good, or really crap...
There don't seem to be much of a middle ground for me...
    Not that that's a bad thing. ^_^
Just makes things less predictable. Last year's was fun. A party til midnight and then some among friends...

Well, seeing Momo's idea was adopted virtually unanimously, then I suppose it is a go.

As far as guidlines, I hate to limit our writing perameters seeing this is a club about nonconformity and originality, but let it stay with the inherent themes of this club itself. Leaning towards the interactions of originality in a predominantly unoriginal world. Something special in an otherwise unspecial setting.

Does anyone have a suggestion on word limits. I place a maximum of 2000 words period, but speak your mind about it.

For some reason, I always set out to write a long story, but it really turns into a short-short story... not saying it isn't tastey good .

How about a word limit of 500-2000 ? That sounds fair to the people who like to keep things short, as well as those who like to extend it a bit. I also like the theme you said, Sinister- it's very fun to work with. ^_^

Should we also have a sub-theme of either Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years? Maybe because New Years has been a hot subject for a little while? I don't know, I'm just spitting out some ideas.

So once the theme we're going to write about has become concrete, when is the deadline for this story and how will it be judged? *__*

New Years? Dunno, that's up to the majority of the participants.

As far as how it's going to be judged. We'll create a thread for that in the literature forum.

However, seeing as the rewards system is down, the reward will have to be bragging rights... Unless there is something you can think of to put up for victory?

Haha, bragging rights is fine by me.

Judging, judging...perhaps we could recruit a mod with some spare time? Or maybe one of the Lit regulars...maybe DragonHeart, Toph Bei Fong? Fishie? He's pretty hot with poems, and not a club member. Any ideas?

Ok, now that I'm actually not swamped with homework, I suppose I can actually look at this site now...

First order of business, New Years for me will probably be spent the way it normally is - aka movie marathon and taking down the christmas tree. Last year, I spent the night at my best friend's house, along with a group of about 5 of my other friends...that turned awkward when my best friend and her boyfriend took full advange of the New Year's kiss tradition, though...probably will stay away from that if possible...

As for the short story contest, it seems wonderous ^-^ And, I suppose, since Sinister's theme actually deals with the club, I shall have to side with that one...although Steel's seems more interesting for me...I may have to incooperate it....

Oh, and of course, braggind rights are always good.

Why do you think you are unique?
I am very sensitive to how people around me feels. So, even tough you don’t show it on your face, I can still sense that you’re not in the mood or something had happened to you. I think that should be a trait in me which is quite differ.

What talents separate you from others? Be advised that I'm only looking for unique talents.
I like to create character which are high in support. And of course they’re mostly female. Well, I can do as far as the group really needs a strong supporter. But of course, they need to be weak in hand-to-hand combat. I can also do clothing designs for most of my characters. I can do for some people who’s character are human. I can create shirt for undead or creature….

Has anyone ever referred to you as different/strange/weird/freak/insane?
As far as I join, (still new) No one has ever address me in that. Anyway, anyone could address me anything as long as it suits me. Of course, sometimes addresses can be rude but I trust that people in here are honest and very polite in addressing, aren’t you?

How do you deal with the rest of the world, being so absurdly different as you are?
Well, as far as I know, i’m just being myself. So, no matter how different it is anyone around me, I can still connect to them. Be it a maniac or insane, as long as you’re human and living, I can connect to you.

What title would you select to describe yourself, which we may refer to you openly?(NOTE: Please be unique)
As the same as my name later that I will post in my profile. Thanks.

Welcome, Holy Priest. New numbers are always welcome in our ranks. And I think we'll all be respectful in this club. Hope you make the best of it. So, Welcome to the Theatre, Holy Priest.

Go ahead an post your character. You'll find the OOC RP thread entitled: "The Procession of Dreams" in OOC sub forum in the RP forum. We'll be starting the actual RP tomorrow. So go ahead and work out the details

I've been thinking about joining this club for a while once I finally had time to answer the questions so here it is:

Why do you think you are unique?
I think I'm unique because at first glance I seem quiet but mean but beyond what you see I'm a nice, easy, laid-back, somewhat loud, dorky person.

What talents separate you from others? Be advised that I'm only looking for unique talents.

I can do the dance from Soulja Boy!!!! ><

I have many talents. I'm good at sports. I can burp the alphabet. I can twist my arm all the way around. I speak three languages. I can move my eyes in many weird ways.

If there's any talents that can contribute to the club, I'm good at poetry or I enjoy writing poetry and many tidbits of literature.

Has anyone ever referred to you as different/strange/weird/freak/insane?

lol Sometimes. Especially when I get drunk. I've been told that I talk to walls, smash crap against my head, act like completely different person. But sober people that know me say I'm strange because I'm quiet and I'm perceived as someone mean with no personality.

Oh, and I've been told that I'm "kinky" if that counts. >.> Love leather, chains, whips, paddles..X_X

How do you deal with the rest of the world, being so absurdly different as you are?

**** the world!!!! They don't know me. I know me and that's all that matters.

What title would you select to describe yourself, which we may refer to you openly?(NOTE: Please be unique)

Well I'm not creative when it comes to names but how about Night Shade? o.O

I've been hoping you would join for some time . You're a unique individual and my good friend and bro. You're most certainly welcome here, Fishie. Welcome to the Theatre, Night Shade.

Fishie!! Hi! I'm really glad you've joined. Good to see yet another excellent TFF'er in here.
So, beinvenue (even though you're not taking French this year, haha).

RP starts tomorrow? Exciting stuff. I should (pray for me) have a let up in my homework by Wednesday.

    Don't be strangers, dears.
